Today is #WorldFoodSafetyDay.
In Africa, more than 1 million people fell ill from unsafe food in 2021. Foodborne diseases are preventable, & everyone has a role to play—from farm to table.
For 🇲🇼, safer food means healthier families, stronger communities & fewer lives at risk.
#SB64 Bonn is a test: Will it move money to Malawi or just commas? 🇲🇼 We need cash for NAP implementation, faster Loss & Damage access, & support for climate mobility. Implementation > negotiation. For millions hit by drought/floods, that’s the metric. #UNFCCC#ClimateFinance
At Bonn (#SB64), the UNFCCC faces its first major test in a post-Santa Marta world.

As climate change increasingly shapes health outcomes across Africa, keeping health at the centre of climate policy, financing, and action is more urgent than ever. The Climate and Health Advocacy Report 2025 highlights #Amref's bold leadership in elevating Africa’s voice globally and driving climate-resilient, people-centred health systems.
This report captures a year of high-impact engagement. It covers events from the Africa Climate Summit, UN General Assembly, and World Health Summit to COP30 in Brazil. It also celebrates major milestones, including the first-ever Climate and Health Negotiators’ Curriculum for the African Group of Negotiators, the Africa Climate and Health Playbook, and the expansion of the Pan-African Partnership on Climate and Health.

Practical takeaway: Start with one climate-health decision that is still “up in the air,” bring key actors together, translate evidence into concrete choices, and attach ownership + timelines. Small moves build institutional muscle. #ClimateAction
