Mike Rogers just put the best possible messenger in front of Michigan voters. Imam Dashti is a Persian-American University of Michigan student, and he opens with his own familyโs story: โ๐๐บ ๐ง๐ข๐ฎ๐ช๐ญ๐บ ๐ฆ๐ด๐ค๐ข๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด๐ด๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐๐ณ๐ข๐ฏ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ง๐ช๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ง๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ช๐ค๐ข.โ
Then he turns to the Democrat Rogers is running against. โ Those are the adโs claims, and El-Sayedโs campaign did not comment on it (Jewish Insider).
The backstory is what makes it land. Dashti confronted El-Sayed at a University of Michigan town hall last week over his silence on Iranโs Revolutionary Guard and the assโssination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. El-Sayed answered that he supports โ๐ง๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ค๐ณ๐ข๐ค๐บ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ฆ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ณ๐ข๐ฏโ but opposed the U.S.-Iran war (Jewish Insider).
Rogers and the NRSC are backing it with a ๐ฌ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง-๐๐ข๐ ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐๐ฐ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฒ on TV and digital. Dashti closes the spot with the line the campaign is betting on:
Think about who is delivering that line. Not a Republican operative. A young man whose family ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ซ๐๐ ๐ข๐ฆ๐ that El-Sayed would not condemn in plain words at a town hall. That is the identity monopoly the left assumes it owns, and it just walked into a Michigan ad break.
Rogersโ campaign says Dashti โ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐ช๐ด ๐ง๐ข๐ฎ๐ช๐ญ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ด๐ฆ๐ณ๐ท๐ฆ ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ต๐ต๐ฆ๐ณโ than a senator they see as a friend of the ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐. Michigan voters will decide in November whether that argument holds.

I wrote this song from a thought that keeps returning to me: perhaps our enemies will never learn. Perhaps they will continue trying again and again. Perhaps this struggle will follow us for longer than any of us would ever wish. I pray that it will not.
But beside that thought lives another one โ a much stronger one.
There is nothing for us to fear.
History has shown us that no matter how many times people have tried to destroy us, remove us, frighten us or take this land from us, we are still here.
Hineh lo yanum, vโlo yishan, Shomer Yisrael.
โBehold, the Guardian of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.โ
We are guarded. We have a God, and throughout our history we have seen again and again why our faith has endured. What is asked of us is to trust, to remember who we are, and to continue.
This is our promised land. Others may try again and again to take it from us, but we will defend our people, our children and our home.
Perhaps this too is part of how we speak to the world through these times: not only through survival, but through faith, creation, light and the refusal to disappear.
YOU WILL NEVER LEARN

This is the home of Flock CEO Garret Langley, who had his own house blurred off Google Street View because,... he wants privacy.
So some Internet prankster marked his house on Google Maps,... as a public toilet.

This is Garrett Langley, the CEO of Flock Surveillance Cameras.
Please DO NOT REPOST HIS IMAGE, because while his company wants to photograph you wherever you go,... and digitally store everything you do,... they themselves do not want to be photographed,... because they value their privacy.
Watch the bait-and-switch:
A) When the Bible is used to advance a โconservativeโ cause, itโs โevil Christian Nationalismโ (that heโs spent his entire campaign decrying) or itโs โforcing your religion on other peopleโ and must be FORECEFULLY DENOUNCED.
But when the Bible is used to advance a progressive cause, aw shucks itโs just me being Christlike, โspeaking truth to powerโ, and seeking โjusticeโ or โcompassion.โ
His whole campaign is, โChristian Nationalism for ME, but not for THEEโ and hoping you wonโt notice.
B) What progressives do is take the commands Jesus gave to INDIVIDUALS and apply them to the GOVERNMENT.
When Christians use words like โcaringโ or โgenerousโ they mean caring for people and being generous with their own resources.
When progressives use the words โcaringโ and โgenerousโ, they mean โvote for the government to forcibly take OTHER PEOPLEโS RESOURCES at gunpoint and redistribute it against their will.โ
Of course, this *always* backfires because governments do not work like people and churches, so with governments you tends to get more of what you INCENTIVIZE and less of what you PENALIZE.
This is why cities and states that throw billions of $ at โsolving homelessnessโ end up with MORE HOMELESSNESS, they do not โsolve homelessness.โ
This is a theology-nerd thing, but in general progressives want the government to do the roles of the church and individual (charity, compassion, care), and they want NOBODY to do the role of the State (administer justice and be a โterror to the wrongdoerโ).
^^^this always results in societal chaos and darkness.
Furtherโฆ
What Talarico (and other progressives) always do is selevtively edit Jesus, so that he becomes a mascot for their cause.
I can do a โwhen Jesusโฆโ list too, but James wonโt like mineโฆ
- When Jesus defined marriage, he defined it as only between a man and a woman
- When Jesus talked about gender, he rooted it in biology, saying โhe made them male and femaleโ
- When Jesus talked about harming children (abortion), he said it would be better for you to have millstone tied around your neck and be cast into the ocean
- โฆ that time when Jesus encouraged his followers to buy weapons for self-defense (Luke 22:36)
- Jesusโ family strictly obeyed the governmentโs border / migration / census laws.
- When Jesus talked about salvation, he said belief in him was the ONLY WAY
- When Jesus healed the sick, he didnโt need a deductibleโฆ there were no insurance companies in AD 30, and Jesus was using miraculous power, not paying doctors. This would be like an anti-vaxxer saying โJESUS WASNT VACCINATED!โ as justification for their position)
- When Jesus fed the hungry, he FED THE HUNGRY. He did not vote for the government to forcibly take other peopleโs stuff at gunpoint and redistribute it against their will.
I could go on and on and on and onโฆ
The point is, Jesus is a LORD of the universe, not a MASCOT for your cause.

๐จ#BREAKING: An employee for Flock told a reporter that if he wants privacy, he can "opt out of society."
So that reporter filmed a Flock worker installing a Flock cam on a public road next to his house...
...so Flock called 3 POLICE OFFICERS to pull over THE REPORTER for following them
Yep, you read that right... the surveillance camera company called the cops because someone was surveilling them install surveillance.
The reporter's name is Brendan Keefe.
He's a national investigative reporter who has been digging into Flock and police abuse of its surveillance network since January.
Flock happened to be upgrading a camera about a mile from Keefe's own house, so he parked at a distance, put out his press placard, put on a yellow vest, and pulled out a news camera.
The Flock installer saw him, packed up his ladder, jumped in his vehicle, and took off.
Keefe followed several cars back to document the next installation.
The Flock employee picked up the phone and called 911.
"I work with Flock Safety, and I'm getting followed, harassed pretty much, taking videos and pictures."
Next thing Brenden sees are THREE Georgia police cars with their lights on behind him.
"The reason why I'm stopping you is because there is a vehicle that says that you have been following them."
He was released with no charges.
Because he did nothing wrong.
Filming in public is legal in all 50 states.
The language surrounding health insurance is Orwellian.
It's called "insurance" but premiums don't adjust for your individual risk.
You have "coverage" that may or may not cover anything at all.
You have "preventive care" which is really a zero-price sales visit to get you hooked on meds.
It's a "benefit" you get from work but neither you nor your employer has a choice but to buy it.
There is a "co-pay" and "deductible" but means what you actually pay.
You get "wellness checkups" that are more likely to result in making you sicker.
Also, it is called "affordable" โ the biggest joke of all.
STOP what you're doing and let's HELP THIS KID by MAKING NOISE. He's a licensed EMT and volunteer firefighter - and Fremont, Nebraska just told him he can't have a paid fire job BECAUSE HE WAS HOMESCHOOLED!
Coates is 22. He already rides with Cedar Bluffs Fire as a volunteer and holds a Nebraska EMT license.
โ
"Make a career out of it would be the goal, to get paid to do what you love," he told WOWT.
โ
The April posting he applied under asked for "graduation from high school." The city said his diploma did not count because Nebraska treats homeschool as unaccredited.
โ
Fremont later rewrote the description to "graduation from an accredited high school." HR director Jennifer McDuffee said accreditation was already implied.
โ
"I would say it's a standard understanding that when someone requests a high school diploma or GED that they're asking for an accredited diploma," McDuffee said.
โ
Homeschools in Nebraska operate as Rule 13 exempt schools. Parents file annually and meet hour rules without state accreditation.
โ
"We understood that our homeschool operated legally under Nebraska's Rule 13," his father, Seth Coates, told the Omaha World-Herald. "What we never imagined was that the City of Fremont would treat the absence of accreditation as a basis for disqualifying Andrew from public employment."
โ
JoAnn Coates taught Andrew and his five siblings at home. About 30 homeschool families packed the Civil Service Commission hearing.
โ
Cedar Bluffs Fire Chief Chris Lichtenberg told the board the city is passing on a firefighter he already trusts. "I feel the city of Fremont's really missing out here, and in my mind, because of his home schooling, you guys are discriminating against him."
โ
Commissioner Doug Backens rejected that word. "I don't think there was any discrimination against him, and when they use that word, I don't care to hear that word out there."
โ
Chairman Steve Tellatin noted the original posting's ambiguity. The commission took no action and said city policy is not theirs to rewrite.
โ
Seth Coates said the family now has 30 days to file in court. Andrew said the fight is no longer only about his application.
โ
"We're not mad about one applicant, my application. I think now it's turned into we want to make sure that every homeschooler has an equal opportunity."

Acton's debate rebuff proves she doesn't have the grit to lead Ohio | Opinion
Kristina Roegner Opinion contributor
In two months, Ohioans will make one of the most consequential choices of the next decade: who leads our state to improve the lives of hardworking families through an era of economic transformation, energy scarcity and threats to public safety. Before the voters decide, they deserve to see both candidates for governor stand on the same stage, defend their respective records and answer hard questions.
Earlier this month, Republican Vivek Ramaswamy accepted twoย debateย invitations โ one from CNN and one from Cincinnati's WLWT, a local NBC News affiliate. Iโm sure friends cautioned Ramaswamy against these networks, given their less charitable coverage of Republicans as compared to Democrats, but he isnโt afraid to debate. He believes open dialogue andย debateย are an essential part of the democratic process.
Unfortunately, his opponent, Democrat Amyย Acton,ย declined bothย debate challenges and went further to reject the idea of doing anyย debates at all. This is an insult to voters across Ohio and is just the latest demonstration that Acton lacks the mettle required to lead.
Her stated reason is that Republican criticisms of her record have been lies. If you take that claim seriously even for a moment, it collapses under its own weight.ย
If someone spread falsehoods about her record before millions of voters, shouldnโt she want to expose those lies in a transparent manner in front of a statewide audience? If criticisms of her record have been false, why isnโt she demanding aย debateย to correct them?ย
Itโs simple: Sheโs hiding.
Actonย claims she wants voters to look past attack ads and pay attention to whatโs real. But there is exactly one forum voters actually watch in long-form, other than advertisements: aย debate. If you genuinely believe Ohioans deserve something deeper than a soundbite, you offer them at least oneย debateย that goes deeper. No editing, no consultants, no teleprompters. Refusing toย debateย while lamenting the ads isnโt a principle; itโs an alibi.
And letโs be honest: Her pattern of behavior goes beyond theย debate. Skipping aย debateย is one decision. Skipping town halls and open, unfiltered dialogue with voters is a calculated strategy. We evenย recently learnedย that Actonโs campaign policy prohibits photos and requires audiences to turn off recording devices before she speaks. If she doesnโt want Ohioans to hear or see her, does she even want this job?
Ohioans in every corner of this state โ union halls in Youngstown, church basements in Cincinnati, county fairs from Butler to Portage counties โ deserve the chance to look a would-be governor in the eye and ask an unfiltered question. For over a year, Vivek Ramaswamy has held town halls and open Q&A with voters across the state. No pre-screened questions. No filters. Heโs taken questions from Republicans, independents and Democrats alike. Some were clearly planted by Actonโs allies, and he took their questions, too. But she hasn't held a similar town hall even once.
This is truly bizarre for someone seeking the stateโs highest office. She isnโt hiding from Ramaswamy. Sheโs hiding from you.
The governorship demands pressure. Negotiating with the largest corporations on Earth to benefit Ohioans is pressure.
Commanding the Ohio National Guard through a flood, a blackout, or worse is pressure. Deciding to sign off on capital punishment is pressure. If 90 minutes behind a podium is too much, what happens when the stakes are much bigger?
The Washington Examinerย recently ran a damning articleย that included interviews with multiple public employees who worked with and around Acton during her time as state health director, and their accounts make clear why sheโs hiding: She cannot handle pressure.
One staffer said she was found lying on the floor outside of a conference room, having to be coaxed into the meeting as others waited for her. Another indicated that she always appeared to be crying as she walked the halls of the Ohio Department of Health. Another claimed she could work for about 90 minutes and then would shut down.
Not everyone is built to lead, and itโs clear Amy Acton fits into that category.ย
Some claim that Acton proved her mettle during COVID, but donโt forget how that chapter ended: She resigned as health director as the pressure peaked and the crisis continued. Iโve long been a vocal opponent of Actonโs disastrous COVID-19 policies, including unjustified public school closures while private schools remained open โ but my point here is different. When times get tough, she quits.ย
She quit clinical medicine right when it came time to start seeing patients. She quit every job sheโs ever held since. Now sheโs quitting on theย debates when running for governor. If she believes Ramaswamy's campaign has mischaracterized anything, the podium is waiting.
Every voter should do their homework and question why Acton is so scared to defend her record and her policy plans in the open. Then, they should vote for the only candidate truly prepared to lead the seventh-largest state in the country: Vivek Ramaswamy.
Senator Kristina Roegner (R-Akron) represents Ohio's 27th senatorial district and is the Republican candidate for Ohio State Treasurer in 2026.
In the final book of Narnia, The Last Battle, a donkey wears a skinsuit of Aslan & leads people astray.
This 'False Aslan' floods Narnia with a bunch of Muslims, who then slaughter all the native Narnians.
This was not merely a children's story.
It was a warning.
@amyactonoh is hiding from Ohioans.
1. No questions are allowed to be asked at her events.
2. No cameras are allowed to film the disaster that unfolds so the public cannot see it.
3. No debate for Ohioans.
Ohioans need to know who they are electing governor.
Some in the media, as evidenced by @toledonews editorial cartoon below, are finding this out and demanding answers.
They changed Aslan's voice, which is what the ape did.
Netflix's The Magician's Nephew moves C.S. Lewis's story from 1900 London into 1950s glam rock Britain. They gave Aslan a red-striped face and multicolored eyes, which director Greta Gerwig says was inspired by David Bowie, and the lion speaks in Meryl Streep's voice.
In The Last Battle, Puzzle did all the work. He carried the water and hauled the loads and said of course, Shift, of course. When something yellow came over the waterfall into Caldron Pool, Puzzle went in after it. The water nearly killed him. He came out half-drowned and bruised, dragging a lion's skin the size of a hearthrug.
Puzzle wanted to bury it. Lions are solemn, he said, "because of you know Who."
Shift just called it a winter coat. He sent the donkey downriver to a market that had no oranges. Alone, he got out a needle and thick thread and a big pair of scissors. He cut the body short. He sewed a long collar for a long neck. He put ties under the belly. Every now and then a bird passed overhead and he stopped his work and watched it, because he did not want anyone to see what he was doing.
Puzzle wore the costume, but Shift was the engineer.
Every generation puts a new skin on the old stories. Totally normal. But lately the new skin keeps the old face and sews in a new mouth. The story you were raised on comes back wearing its own face.
Lewis opened his last Narnia book with this test..
"A good deal of Puzzle's grey nose and face could be seen through the open mouth of the lion's head. No one who had ever seen a real lion would have been taken in for a moment. But if someone who had never seen a lion looked at Puzzle in his lionskin, he just might mistake him for a lion, if he didn't come too close, and if the light was not too good, and if Puzzle didn't let out a bray and didn't make any noise with his hoofs."
A costume only works on somebody who has never seen the real thing.
A skin holds up from far away, on a screen, in a trailer. Up close, in the pages, the stitches show. Every costume looks better in the dark, so hold the new version next to the old book in daylight. The disguise dies the moment the creature opens its mouth. Lewis's lion sings a world into being.
Gerwig told christian media critic Ted Baehr a year and a half ago that she loved the old 1979 cartoon. Now she has swapped the mouth of the one who sings the world. Wait and hear what the new one sings.
When Puzzle finds his conscience and asks what will become of them if the real Aslan turns up, Shift says he never does turn up, not nowadays. At that exact moment the sky answers with a thunderclap. The ground trembles. Puzzle hears a warning. Shift, whose mind works very quickly, hears permission. He tells the donkey he was just going to say the thunder was the sign they were waiting for. The objection gets sewn into the costume.
Every single no from heaven gets tailored into a yes.
And that's the needle still in the ape's hand.
Notice who Lewis refused to mock in the story. Puzzle isn't the villain. He's cold and tired, and a voice he trusts keeps telling him he isn't clever. Lewis saved his anger for the ape with the scissors and gives the donkey mercy. So if people we love get swept up by the trailer, they are not the enemy. The film itself may be lovely. We'll judge it the way Lewis taught us, up close and in good light. Nobody gets taken in because they are stupid. They get taken in because nobody ever walked them up to the real lion.
The enemy has never made anything.
He wears. He puts on light, he puts on scripture, he puts on a lion's skin. Lewis was writing about what the war looks like when it comes for the children. That part belongs to us. The answer to a dressed-up story has always been familiarity.
So read the real books. Read them out loud to the kids in your life until the real lion's voice lives in their ears. Kids who walk with Aslan thru seven books can't be sold a donkey in a skin, at any distance, in any light.
The movie comes out next year but the war is older than any calendar, and it's always been a fight over who speaks in the lion's voice.
"Imagination is the most important faculty a person may possess. It is the faculty that, when properly employed, balances the rationality of the mind with the passions of the stomach. It is imagination that allows us to see beyond the mere facts of the situation and into the actual wisdom and context of story. Imagination is also the only sure defense against the temptations of bloody and imperialistic ideologies. The imagination, as Plato once described it, is a form of divine madness, a mind beside itself. Or, as St. John put it, Logos is the light that enlightens every man. As Mary proclaimed when approached by the archangel Gabriel, โMy soul doth magnify the Lord.โ As such, the imagination is the image of the divine put within us, originating from outside of us. It is that which is at once most human and simultaneously least human about us. With it, as Lewis would one day argue, we carry โthe weight of Glory,โ the ability to see the divine in another."

All foreign cultures are inferior to American culture. All of them. Every single one. Everyone knows this. Itโs why they all try to come here and no one here wants to move to Guatemala or India.
Foreigners in America today are demonstrably less likely to assimilate than those who immigrated here 20, 50, or 100 years ago. Instead of leaving their languages and customs and pagan religions behind, they are coming here, building enclaves for their diasporas, and voting as ethnic blocs. This is the opposite of assimilation.
Because their cultures are objectively inferior, their refusal to assimilate therefore degrades American culture. Because American culture is objectively superior, this degradation makes America worse off. And when America is worse off, Americans are worse off.
Making America worse by importing inferior foreign culture is bad. Making Americans pay for the privilege of watching their country decline is bad. Replacing Americans in their own country is bad, because we are a people and this is our home and reducing our heritage and birthright to a mere global economic zone is bad.
Working to eradicate Americans and American culture is bad. Opposing the takeover of your own country and the degradation of the very culture that made your country the greatest country in the history is not only not racist, not xenophobic, not-whatever-dumb-gay-term-is-now-being-used-to-morally-extort-you-into-giving-away-your-countryโit is the only natural response to what is being done to America.
Foreign culture is inferior to American culture, and we are all sick and tired of constantly being subjected to it while being told itโs not happening.
