@amitavikram33@curiosityonx The moon landing is one the most independently verified events in history. Even by our enemies. I would love for NASA and its partners to get the same level of funding and resources available to them in the 60’s to further accelerate these programs like we did back then.
@amitavikram33@curiosityonx Funding allocations to war has nothing to do with funding NASA. Also, Apollo hardware did not possess a FDR
(or black box) like an airliner would. You seem to be the one cooking stories. Do a little bit of research into the actual Apollo mission and hardware design.
@amitavikram33@curiosityonx Yeah Elon did say that and he was obviously wrong, and he has stated so. 2040’s is more likely with the rate at which Artemis missions are going, which are precursors to any future Mars missions.
@amitavikram33@curiosityonx We didn’t stop going to the Moon because we couldn’t. We stopped because we won the space race, it was insanely expensive, and there was no political payoff anymore. Apollo cost the equivalent of $280+ billion today. Once the Cold War flex was over, Congress pulled all funding.
Happy Memorial Day, America.
Today we salute and remember the more than 1 million heroes who died for the sake of this great country, from Lexington to Normandy to Afghanistan.

I am honored to receive President Trump’s
@realDonaldTrump nomination to serve as the next Administrator of NASA. Having been fortunate to see our amazing planet from space, I am passionate about America leading the most incredible adventure in human history.
On my last mission to space, my crew and I traveled farther from Earth than anyone in over half a century. I can confidently say this second space age has only just begun. Space holds unparalleled potential for breakthroughs in manufacturing, biotechnology, mining, and perhaps even pathways to new sources of energy. There will inevitably be a thriving space economy—one that will create opportunities for countless people to live and work in space. At NASA, we will passionately pursue these possibilities and usher in an era where humanity becomes a true spacefaring civilization.
I was born after the Moon landings; my children were born after the final space shuttle launch. With the support of President Trump, I can promise you this: We will never again lose our ability to journey to the stars and never settle for second place. We will inspire children, yours and mine, to look up and dream of what is possible. Americans will walk on the Moon and Mars and in doing so, we will make life better here on Earth.
It is the honor of a lifetime to serve in this role and to work alongside NASA’s extraordinary team to realize our shared dreams of exploration and discovery.
Grateful to serve, Jared
@dom_lucre It is easier and cheaper to develop a new design based on today’s technology to meet the same moon mission requirements than it is to restart the supply chain of the design from the ‘60s, which is what NASA and its partners are actively doing with SLS, Orion, and Starship.
@dom_lucre The supply chain and components required to build the Saturn V and Command, Service, & Lunar Modules no longer exists. For example, the room-sized IBM computer on the Saturn V’s ring segment can’t be purchased. All of this technology is obsolete.
Mother,
Despite a slow start our offensive units found their footing & launched an explosive attack that led us to victory over the Phightin’ Philly platoon!
SGT Olson & PFC Harris II led the charge, while SGT Strider & our relief sidearms provided great leadership.
Love,
Max
15-26 million protested in 2020 on behalf of a criminal who died while resisting arrest with a fatal dose of fentanyl in his system.
How many will march for Laken Riley?
Will there be streets named after her?
Will she have her own televised funeral?
Will they be kneeling for her in Congress?
No. She was a White nursing student, had no criminal record, & her kiIIer was a non-White illegal alien let in by Biden.
