It’s hard to believe 1 week ago today was Day 1 of the Rope Rescue Operators course in #BiH 🇧🇦 which #volunteers delivered on behalf of @UKDefenceinBiH.

Another 8 Rope Rescue Operators trained to the same standards as the #UK 🇬🇧

Day 5 completes the Rope Rescue Operator course here in #BiH delivered on behalf of @UKDefenceinBiH to the Specialist Helicopter Rescue Squadron. 8 passes and 5 did not meet the requirements.

Today focused on rescues of casualties as well as medical input from a HART Paramedic.

A little over one month until the Rope Rescue Training Team return to #Bosnia and #Herzegovina (#BiH) 🇧🇦 on behalf of @UKDefenceinBiH to close Year 2 of a three year training programme with the aim of self sustainability.

This training project sits under the Military Aid to Civil Authorities (MACA) and is delivering life saving technical rescue training in both rope and water rescue skills.

All training is aligned to that of the #UK 🇬🇧 rescue services and will allow #Interoperability in the event of international joint operations and is accredited by @CliveBushMInSTR and his company Prusik Rescue.

This course in November will be another Rope Rescue Operator course, however, elements delivered by potential instructors prior to their proposed instructor course in 2026.
