CEO of Epic Energy, supplying natural gas for energy, industrial and residential use to the South Australian community. Married, father of 4 and cricket fan.
@GilesParkinson I have followed you many years and as the CEO of a gas + renewables energy infrastructure company you and I both know a transition period is an absolute must. Gas has pushed out due to massive renewable subsidies. With a voice of respect also comes responsibility Giles.

I decided to pause on commenting on the energy debate in 2018 and get on with doing…At Epic we have proudly invested in gas + renewables since my 2018 post below…I hope we start to recognise we need to get there together for the sake our our nation…
@PaulSte25912425@RebeccaJCodd@1800_fordey Hi Paul,
I have noted your comments regarding myself. As we only released the recent employee departure an hour ago and your tweet came through, I assume you may also know Epic’s values. I would be open to hearing your concerns directly if you’d like. Thanks.
Clive
Tough conditions for our most vulnerable...but at Epic we believe in values and as Karen seeker water at our facility we ensured she was looked after...thanks Annette, Harry, Amy and team...
Family holiday up North of SA brought us back to beautiful Peterborough and the shelter Epic donated to the community back in 2008...how quickly time passes.
Thanks to all our customers, government, suppliers, key stakeholders and the Epic staff who supported the Epic business during 2018. Our industry breakfast was very well received and thanks to all who attended.
A polarising debate on the benefits of batteries...my view is the sooner we all realise that renewables + batteries + gas firming will meet our requirements for lower emissions, reliability & price we will be able to move forward...
Proud to be supporting Foodbank as the Epic Charity for 2018/19 as selected by the staff at Epic. Too many SA’s go hungry every day. Thanks to Epic staff who dropped off much needed food whilst in the South East recently...see below...
Amazing view of our country on the way to Darwin for the Australian Pipelines & Gas Conference. Our pipelines traverse this type of terrain transporting low emissions natural gas to meet the Energy needs reliability of all Australians. Proud to be CEO at Epic Energy.
Thanks to all the Epic staff who worked late into the night rectifying some operational issues to support the SA electricity & gas industries last night. Hugely appreciated albeit we do our important work in the background.
Katnook facility in Mount Gambier, great to also catch up with local Beach Energy personnel for a quick chat on the exciting prospects for gas in the region.
Fantastic to see the Kimberly-Clark facility today, cutting edge technology and automation at work. Sincere thanks and appreciation to Scott Whicker for taking the time to spend with us.
Thanks to the Epic team over past few days and today for ensuring low emissions natural gas transported to meet States energy needs...very low wind generation at the moment in SA...renewables + natural gas = future reliable low emissions base load energy
Really appreciated being able to thank the hard working roster field based employees for their efforts over the past financial year and provide an update on the company goals. Great culture and team at Epic and thanks to the team who keep the energy for SA flowing.
Early cold morning breakfast hearing from Deputy Prime Minister Hon Michael McCormack and State Minister for Infrastructure & Transport Hon Stephan Knoll on the vision for SA infrastructure developments. Sounds very positive for the State.
Great to catch up with some of the great Epic field staff for a long overdue chat...looking forward to talking to all our 80+ employees over the coming month of July..
Extremely insightful knowledge sharing and collaboration at the World Gas Conference. Strong Australian contingent also with our customers, government and industry experts present plus pipeline owners. Great to hear from AER expert Jeremy Llewellyn yesterday on regulation also.
