🌞 A busy sunny weekend.
🚪I have been out and about speaking with residents with @JudithCummins MP, supporting with local issues
☕️ I had a fantastic afternoon at St Theresa's Summer Fair
🏉 I topped off this weekend supporting the Emergency Services Day at @OfficialBullsRL
We know people either didn’t go and vote in the recent local elections, as they didn’t have ID or they turned around and went back home after seeing the posters at Polling Stations…
The Government wants to extend voter ID laws - despite admitting they were an attempt to manipulate elections. It’s a stitch up. We say: DITCH VOTER ID before the next General Election. #ProtectOurVote https://t.co/jRb7PMaKgp
🧑🤝🧑 Happiest boyfriend alive!
🎆 Congratulations to the love of my life @AlMitchell89 elected Labour 🌹 councillor in Queensbury, #Bradford, five years after he first stood in the ward he loves.
What a result.

✍️Thank you to Bradford South residents who signed my petition on Dangerous Driving.
🚗Reckless driving, speeding and anti-social vehicle use are a huge concern for people in Bradford South.
👮Police need proper funding to keep our roads safe.

🌹It's been great to be out with @bradsouthlabour members this weekend!
A busy two days with lots of activity and positive conversations across the constituency. #labourdoorstep
🌹 It's been another busy day with @HazelParsan and @tomfortong.
🗣 Lots of fantastic #labourdoorstep conversations with residents this morning.
♻️And this afternoon, we helped residents on Dene Road clean up their street!
@UKLabour
Attended the Bradford South Area Committee with Sonia from Patchett's Minimarket last night. She presented the petition signed by 455 residents requesting a safe place to cross the road near her shop on Halifax Road/Ford, and measures to make the road safer. #Roadsafety
I believe this is an outrageous attempt to suppress turnout but please don't lose your vote and make sure you take what the government deem appropriate ID when you go to vote in May
Hugely disappointing that Bradford's ambitious £50m levelling up bid to regenerate Odsal has not been successful.
This is despite independent analysis identifying Bradford as the UK's number one levelling up opportunity.
Another example of Government leaving Bradford behind.
Kirklees also suffering due to irresponsible vehicle use. Speeding and unthoughtful parking outside schools is rife in Queensbury, Bradford South, Bradford generally and also Kirklees…
I know how concerned people in #BatleyAndSpen are about anti social behaviour, reckless driving & dangerous parking. So am I. But we need to be clear - without proper government funding for neighbourhood police & councils it is an uphill battle for us all.
Britain can’t afford the Tories’ chaos.
My Labour government will provide the stability and leadership needed.
For our economy. For growth. For working people.
General Election, now.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of the Queen - a wonderful Monarch of our nation for generations. In mourning we remember her incredible public service and fortitude. We offer condolences to her family who have lost their Mother as well as their Monarch.
