While I’m aware it’s a different ballgame than Down syndrome, as someone with autism I still find the notion that a child isn’t worth caring for because of a disability to be personally insulting to me. If you interacted with me today it’d take very keen powers of observation to notice the ways I’m different from normal people, but when I was a kid my autism was definitely pretty noticeable, and the reason that’s changed is because my parents went out of their way to do everything they could to get me the help I needed, despite it being financially and often times very emotionally taxing on them. Look the way I see it, if you believe a child isn’t worth caring for because it’d be too difficult, you aren’t deserving of being a parent. Parents are supposed to love and care for their children unconditionally, it should not be predicated on convenience. And if you truly can’t afford to care for a child with Down syndrome (which these two most definitely can), that doesn’t justify aborting them, other options exist. And while some people will dispute this by saying it’d be cruel to subject them to a life of misery, I’d argue it’s ever crueler to not give them a chance at all. There have been plenty of examples of people with Down syndrome who’ve led incredible lives despite everything, and the people I’ve met with Down syndrome have been some of the nicest and most cheerful people I’ve ever met despite how unfair life has been to them. What these two did was absolutely shameful and they’ll be forced to reckon with it for the rest of their lives, as well as answer for it in the next if you believe such a place exists like I do.
I know everyone likes to shit on Boomers, but I'd rather deal with a guy like this than a dickhead kid like this.
The kid ran his mouth and ragebaited the wrong grandpa.
Both parties fucked up, but lets not pretend broccoli head didn't deserve at least one good slap.
"AHHHH MY KID LOOKS CREEPY, KILL IT"
I remember being about 6 or 7 years old and thinking kids with cleft palates were creepy and hating looking at them.
This is basically the same mentality.
That’s not a just society. A just society would be ok with not bringing life into this world with severe impairments. Down syndrome is a series disease and their lives are seriously hampered by it.

"I am a man. See me as a human being—not a birth defect, not a syndrome. I don’t need to be eradicated."
Frank Stephens pleads for the humanization of people with Down syndrome, studies suggest 67-90% are aborted in the United States due to faulty prenatal screenings.
