The Brilliant Cut Grinder with the medium grind plate works really well for me across most strains.
I also find that a lot of people grind their flower extremely fine in pursuit of that chalky white ash, but end up making the joint much harder to pull and often sacrificing flavour in the process.
I rarely see this with real smokers, but on the flip side if the grind is too coarse or uneven, the joint can burn inconsistently which also has a negative impact on the flavour and overall smoking experience.
I think it’s important to find the right balance, fine enough for an even burn, but not so fine that you restrict airflow and mute the terps.
