Latino civil rights group LULAC is calling for a federal investigation into raids conducted by the Texas AG Ken Paxton's office on the homes of some of its members as part of what he says is an ongoing election integrity investigation. "There is absolutely no question that this is a voter intimidation tactic," Juan Proaño, CEO of LULAC, tells @MajorCBS.
I joined @sarasidnerCNN this morning to speak out against @KenPaxtonTX terrorizing abuelitas in Texas.
This was a targeted operation against Latino voters. We won’t stand for it. We aren’t going back.
@MLangbert @chrislhayes@Arwenslp Are we counting any who has criticized Israeli POLICY? Plenty of those people have been fired or not hired. Saying you don’t like people saying certain things is MUCH different than using the state to penalize them.

@sullydish I’d be very interest if you have someone on, particularly black person, to take the opposing side on your “woke” culture episodes. Seems like you’re always looking at the extremes rather than the more coherent, moderate.
@ByronYork@sullydish It should’ve been vetoed. If we’re saying elections matter how can you overturn the policies enacted by the party that won the election? If it’s a bad law the people who live there should vote them out for people who will change the law. So do they matter or not?
@tlantabraves@KevinMKruse@sullydish What percentage of these shows are like this one? If it’s a significant amount sure I’d agree. If these are edge cases then this whole convo on “wokeness” makes 0 sense. People are just looking for a boogeyman
@sullydish Love the show, will subscribe. Nice even though I’m slightly right of Corbyn. 1 issue I have is that you don’t talk to black people who “wokeness” is about. Feel like you’d have a significantly differ convo. You should have @kehinde_andrews on.
@Nitsua76476589 @PokeysaurusRex@ChrisCorrell1@bennyjohnson Kansas has already tried massive tax cuts. Job growth slowed, economic growth slowed, they had to cut in to education and infrastructure spending that meant closing schools and stopping highway projects. It seems like a good idea in theory. Other ideas?

@SandeepSandySe2 @purrypurrydog @AOC Don’t we all benefit from having a smarter population and workforce? All the money they’re not spending on loans would go into the economy making you better off again in the long run. Just because you paid yours off doesn’t make it any better of an idea
.@page88 Bill Barr helped cover up Iran-Contra then under HW Bush helped pardon all involved. Last 4 R presidents actually committed impeachable acts. Trump’s voter suppression is the culmination of Rs 20 year project. Rs & big money vs Democracy. Choose

@aravosis@cliffschecter I don’t mind hearing from Never Trumpers but every single one of them needs to support democracy in practice not just words. That means explicitly supporting expanded voting rights. I haven’t heard a single one of them support that on your show
