@sylviessylk @twinkbride It's unfortunately common in-community rhetoric that we trans men/mascs are "joining the oppressors and turning our back on our community" by transitioning. Ofc there are privileges to passing, but we are impacted by the same oppressors and it really sucks to feel unwelcome.

@sylviessylk @twinkbride [&] Yes, it originates from the same ideology. I strongly recommend putting qualifiers like entitled/abusive as another commenter suggested. Seeing "I hate men" as a blanket statement can be absolutely crushing for transmasc people and encourage us to stay in the closet.
