You have perfectly diagnosed the mechanical chess game being played around the $19 threshold and why S&P 500 inclusion is the ultimate structural threat to the short sellers' business model.SoFi’s predictable "earnings run-up followed by a harsh dump" pattern is not accidental. It is a highly profitable algorithmic trading cycle manufactured by institutional short sellers and swing traders who exploit backward-looking sentiment. S&P 500 inclusion is the one event that would permanently break this loop.
Taylor, we miss you. I've always wondered why the OTs immediately start backing up. You don't have any leverage when you're backing up and the DT has momentum in his favor. Why not move towards him at the snap and duke it out at the line of scrimmage? Both guys would have the same leverage, etc. The backing up move doesn't seem logical to me.
@rgfenvgroup I have a REME-H system at my home. It has worked fine for abt 3 years. I have previously replaced the bulb successfully. Yesterday I replaced the bulb again and the red light blinks on but will not stay on (with blower running) so the light is not working. To be clear, as I plug in the 12V wire into the REME "head" the red light blinks but will not stay on. I bought the replacement bulb from Amazon and perhaps that is the problem. The bulb I bought is mfg by LVFEITIN and is advertised as a replacement for my system. The cost was abt $50. I can return that bulb to Amazon, no problem. Do you have any recommendations/comments? I am in Nashville, TN. Thanks for any advice.
Michael, I live in a suburb in Nashville, and my suburb is actually a small incorporated city within the City of Nashville (Nashville has 4 such small cities, weird, but that's the way it is). The City of Nashville has refused to use LPRs, but the four small cities are all using them. Since they were installed in my "city" residential burglaries, break-ins, and car break-ins (parked at homes) have dropped dramatically. Our crime rate is almost zero. One of the other cities has arrested at least four criminals (all with outstanding warrants) that were passing through that small city. I drive by one of those cameras every day and I am delighted that they are there. I cannot see any downside to having LPRs. If you're not a criminal, who cares if they see your license plate? There are cameras all over the malls, inside and outside retail stores. I have cameras at my house, inside and outside. Help me understand why you are against LPRs. I'm not looking for a fight, just trying to understand. Thanks.
@TheCowboyFarmer Its definitely to bad, big Ag and Fert has a monopoly on everything. The politicians are in their back pocket, who would have thought with all that was promised that it would be this administration putting countless farmers out of business. Could just be the natural AG cycle too.
The last 2 years I’ve had mental and emotional breakdowns during harvest. Harvest to me is supposed to be the most fun part of farming. I sat in the combine for 2 hours staring out the window when I finished my last field last year, contemplating many things. Shit is real
@LarryB31314@anthonynoto So, you guys who feel that way need to invest in something else. It's that easy to fix. Just go away and leave us alone. There must be at least 1,000 other choices for you. We true believers will stay here and wait it out.
When Leopold was losing "$35B in July and aggressively selling to try to stay alive, he was impacting all of us in a negative way. Some of the guys that post on X got margin calls and we're taken out/ruined because of Leopold. (not me because I don't use margin). It was like a black swan event. Very massive deal across retail.
Tell you Uncle that an easy way to sell the house is to agree to carry the mortgage himself. Set the interest rate below whatever banks are charging ( if the going rate is 6.5% then charge 5.9%) which is more yield to him than he would get from a CD. Make the down payment low, maybe 5%. uncle would have monthly income. If the buyer defaults, he would foreclose and he could keep the money he was paid and then sell it again. Lots of buyers looking for owner financing.
I have a little more than 2M in the market today. 45,000 shs of SOFI and 23,800 shs of IREN, plus 20,000 ASUR and some calls. As I said I've been doing this for more than 4 decades. I'm still interested in how long you've been investing, but no big deal if you had rather not answer that. I'm not "desperate", just curious. You need to lighten up a little. I don't need to justify anything as I'm quite content and happy.
Good for you. Still interested in how long you have been investing. Full disclosure, in addition to SOFI, I'm currently heavy in IREN and own a moderate amount of AUR. Looks like we are on the same team. I am a fundamental investor, not so much for charts although I know they play a role. Good luck in the future.
