It was such an amazing day full of laughter and tears, full of magic and traditions, full of children's smiles, dances, music, and so much more. Thank you, everyone, for coming to and for being a part of such a great festival!
Lots of love,

This is THE DAY, everyone! #IvanaKupala is happening today from 4 till 8 pm in Preston Park near the Clock Tower
See you there! 🤩
Last year, lost and broken, but still willing to save our traditions, newly arrived Ukrainian refugees organized a festival that turned out to be such a special thing for everybody. You came to support us and we were there to share our culture with you. https://t.co/YAv5S3dDqr
Ukraine's Ivana Kupala festival is named after St John the Baptist, but apart from that it's a pagan tradition. Here are your key Kupala details, ahead of Sunday's celebration in Preston Park, #Brighton. https://t.co/0j9f5aG9U5
'A few days before the celebration we would go looking for wildflowers. We'd pray that they wouldn’t wilt and that they'd bloom by the time we needed them to make a wreath.' Lesya Kyrylenko
Same. Will the St John's Wort hold out till St John's – Ivana – festival?
Come to Ivana Kupala in Preston Park #Brighton on Sunday, and take a look around our website beforehand to see what it's all about 💐 💙💛https://t.co/JfRvIApQXR
Lesya and her daughter Vika from our Ukrainian community of #Brighton and Hove invite you to celebrate #IvanaKupala with us on Sunday, the 9th of July, in Preston Park.
"Ivana Kupala is one of the three most important holidays of the year for my family." Lesya Kyrylenko
In Ukraine, people light fires and throw flowers into rivers at Ivana Kupala midsummer festivals.
There aren't any rivers in Preston Park, #Brighton, and lighting fires isn't allowed.
So it won't look like this on Sunday. But it will be beautiful 💙💛
'Since last year, we celebrate Ivana Kupala in Preston Park. On that wonderful day, Preston Park will become Ukrainian. I'm really delighted that my son will be able to learn about Ivana Kupala traditions, and be with Ukrainians during this difficult moment.' Olya Golichenko
'In Ukraine we celebrate Ivana Kupala somewhere by the river or somewhere where we can make fire, but we don't have any rivers here, and we can't make fires in Preston Park. But Preston Park has welcomed us with open arms, and it has become a home for us all.' Vladyslava Bondar
#Brighton & Hove's #Ukrainian community will celebrate the Ivana Kupala midsummer festival in Preston Park on Sunday 9 July, 4–8pm. Everybody's invited and all ages will be welcome! https://t.co/Gy9NnYQeRk
