Who Is The Power Bill Guy?
The Power Bill Guy represents the average hardworking family person—the everyday individual who shows up, gets things done, and makes life happen in the real world.
He isn’t a celebrity. He’s a person just like you and me.
Yes, The Power Bill Guy is a real person who paid his power bill—something millions of people do every month. But this time, he paid it in a way no one had done before:
He paid his bill without surrendering his underlying asset. 🤯😮🚀
Using decentralized stablecoin technology, which became available on July 17, 2026, On Global Time Lock Day on September 17th, @anonkyc paired DigDollar with USDT which allowed the Power Bill Guy to sell his DigiDollars for USDT.
And he did it live, unscripted, and completely spontaneously on @BitcoinliveDB podcast with myself, @DigiAwareness_ and @DigiByteCoin.
During the podcast, he simply said, “I’m going to pay my power bill with DigiDollars.” The hosts continued the conversation, assuming it was just an idea. Then, every few minutes, he casually gave updates:
- He used minted DigiDollars
- Transferes his DD to @anonkyc
- Sold his DD for USDT
- Sent them to his @cryptocom card
- Used the card to pay his power bill
The reaction was essentially: **“Wait… did that just happen?”**🤯🤯🤯
It was a genuine, game-changing moment for cryptocurrency.
He didn’t sell his crypto. Instead, he accessed liquidity by time-locking his DigiByte, minting DigiDollars directly in his personal wallet, and using them to pay a real-world bill.
The lights stayed on. His crypto remained in his wallet.
No bank.
No loan application.
No interest.
No business hours.
No unnecessary middlemen.
This is what decentralized stablecoins looks like now.
I’m grateful to @Cm0re1 for becoming the DigiDollars Power Bill Guy. His example opened my eyes to the potential of DigiDollar and its underlying collateral, DigiByte.
Bitcoin pioneered digital scarcity and a store of value. DigiByte may be pioneering a new form of digital collateral—collateral that can back a decentralized stablecoin you can use to pay your actual power bill.
That is a powerful development.
If you don’t yet understand why DigiDollar could be one of the most important breakthroughs in crypto since Bitcoin, you need to take a closer look.
DigiByte is just getting started. DigiDollar is about to go BANANAS.** 🍌🍌🍌🤯🤯
#powerbillguy $DGB $DD
Bro, you can take your DD to @anonkyc or @nonkyc_exchange and trade it, since DD is paired with DGB, USDT, USDC, Monero, and other assets. So yes, it may seem too good to be true. Hell, @Cm0re1 even paid his power bill with DD on Thursday.
This is the first UTXO time-locked decentralized stablecoin of its kind, and it’s something I’m extremely optimistic about.
The community sees the potential:
- DigiByte backs the stablecoin.
- DigiByte is taken out of circulation to serve as collateral for DigiDollar.
- DigiDollar provides liquidity without requiring you to sell your underlying asset.
I hope you can see the potential. It’s far from a scam. If anything, the real concern is with centralized stablecoins that can be clawed back—assets that users don’t truly control or own.
#DigiByte Global Time Lock Day LIVE Lock digibyte:native. Mint DigiDollar! https://t.co/N3TwfohJUF via @YouTube
Thank you to everyone who minted long term! digibyte:native for life!
@Fru1tLo0psy@anonkyc Experience is the best teach. Buy some DigiByte, download a core wallet, and lock it up. You too can become a bank. $DGB for life!
Today I minted #DigiDollar in my Core wallet, sent it to @anonkyc, and exchanged it for USDT. I then moved the USDT to https://t.co/VsYHQ3u7a0, topped up my card, and paid my electricity bill.
From minting to spending—I’m becoming my own bank.
digibyte:native for life! 💙
Thank you @anonkyc for supporting $Digibyte and the #DigiDollar
Thank you https://t.co/0qeBgPAhVY for support #Digibyte for all these years. What you think about listing $Digidollar pairs?
$DGB family, if you don’t know, the C in my name is for conviction. I’m not a whale, shark, seal, or fish. Im a single cell organism who believes in the #Digibyte blockchain. $Digidollar is here, what we doing with it?
