66 Precinct Community Council

[NYPD 66th Precinct @NYPD66Pct]

The 66 Pct hosted our annual National Night Out Against Crime! Thank you to the elected officials, community leaders, community members, families, and especially the kids who made the night so special. Together, we continue building a safer, stronger community!

[Speaker Julie Menin @SpeakerMenin]

Today, I joined Borough Park community leaders to tour the park that was vandalized with antisemitic graffiti twice this week.

While children played nearby, I saw the playground that dozens of swastikas were painted onto.

These abhorrent incidents are part of an alarming trend, underscoring the importance of the @NYCCouncil’s five-point plan to combat antisemitism and strengthen community safety.

[NYPD 68th Precinct @NYPD68Pct]

Thanks to Boro Park Shomrim members’ vigilance and quick thinking, our officers were able to swiftly apprehend multiple individuals who were preying on our older adults. This is what the police and the community working hand in hand looks like! Great job all around.

We had the honor of welcoming newly assigned @NYPDBklynSouth Chief Francis Giordano and his CAB Lt Mclean, along with @NYPDCommAffairs Chief Taylor, and @NYPD66Pct XO Captain Wang, at our office today. We look forward to continuing our partnership together.

[NYC Mayor's Office @NYCMayorsOffice]

Hate will never be tolerated in NYC.

Our team, including @MayorsCAU Commissioner Fred Kreizman, along with local Muslim, Jewish, and other faith leaders joined the Nur Al-Islam Mosque community to stand in solidarity with them after an act of Islamophobic hate last week.

[NYPD 66th Precinct @NYPD66Pct]

We want to thank our community partners for helping us keep the neighborhood safe. A strong collaborative effort on Sunday - led to the arrest of a perpetrator that was a menace to the neighborhood by removing dozens of licenses plates from vehicles.

[NYPD NEWS @NYPDnews]

Great collaborative work between @NYPD66PCT officers & members of the Borough Park, Brooklyn community.

[NYPD 66th Precinct @NYPD66Pct]

Building strong connections! 🤝 Our new officers met with local community leaders to discuss collaboration and shared goals for the future. Together, we’re making a difference! #Community

[Boro Park JCC @bpjcc]

Grateful to @BPShomrim for assisting with our Chanukah Reception with @NYCMayor Eric Adams.

Thank you to Shomrim volunteers whose dedication and partnership are greatly appreciated as, time and again, the organization rises to the occasion for our entire community.

@TheSalGreco @NYPDDaughtry @NYPDnews @TheFinestCast @JohnDMacari @EricDymCop @FiredDetective While @NYPDDaughtry is building bridges, bringing resources to communties, lowering crime & literally putting his life on the line, you choose to hate on him stupidity instead of supporting him in his efforts to keep people safe.SHAME ON YOU.

If @NYPDDaughtry ever decides to retire from being an abusive civilian in the NYPD that is costing NYC taxpayers thousands with his day to day unchecked unsupervised actions; he has a star studded career awaiting him in the music industry where he will supplant Taylor Swift !

Boro Park Shomrim is an organization that works tirelessly & courageously to ensure our neighborhoods' safety. They are true partners who make our job profoundly easier. I was honored to be recognized alongside my 'no. 3 hitter,' LSA Ira 'Yitzy' Jablonsky. Meep up the great work!

[Community Board 12 @BrooklynCB12]

Major thanks to @NYPD66Pct, @NYPDBklynSouth, @BPShomrim, @NYSChaveirim, @BPhatzolah, @ChesedShelEmes & @misaskim who, sadly, had to mobilize on short notice for the 2nd week in a row. When the community is in need, these people step up. May God bless all of them & their families.

[NYPD Brooklyn South @NYPDBklynSouth]

We are saddened by the sudden passing of Rabbi Moshe Wolfson of Boro Park. Thank you to our community partners for assisting in ensuring the safety of all those who came to mourn and pay their respect. Rabbi Wolfson’s spiritual leadership will be deeply missed.

[Boro Park JCC @bpjcc]

We have so much appreciation to @BPShomrim for once again helping make our carseat distribution a smooth process.
Despite record-breaking heat, your volunteers were at the scene throughout the afternoon, helping with the process for the hundreds in attendance. Thank you!!

[NYPD 66th Precinct @NYPD66Pct]

Your NYPD community affairs officers along with Boro Park Shomrim organized its annual bicycle registration event in Gravesend park on Sunday. #CommunityImpact #CommunityAffairs

[NYPD 62nd Precinct @NYPD62Pct]

𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐫𝐢𝐦 (@BPShomrim) were witness to individuals breaking into a @USPS relay box and removing several bags of mail. With their help, your 62 Precinct Public Safety Team were able to locate these perpetrators and make an arrest without further incident.

[NYPD 66th Precinct @NYPD66Pct]

Through collaboration and commitment, we’re building a stronger, safer neighborhood for everyone. Working with our community partner, an illegally loaded firearm was removed from our streets.
