“Any society where you see people in government doing better than entrepreneurs, is a failed country. That’s why our country is failing” — NDC Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi

A Romanian businesswoman thought she was helping Dubai's Crown Prince invest £200 million in a humanitarian foundation. She wasn't. By the time she discovered the truth, she'd already sent $2.5 million to a Nigerian scammer — a man who'd spent years perfecting his royal impersonation, complete with fake advisers who later warned her that the supposed lover was using African “juju and voodoo” to fool her.
On This Day in 1967: Ironsi Was Laid to Rest
Major Gen. J.T.U Aguiyi-Ironsi, Nigeria’s first Military Head of State, was killed during the 1966 military coup. Following the insistence of Ojukwu, he was laid to rest in January 1967 in Ibeku, Umuahia.

Money laundering is one of the major reasons francophone countries are flooded with unusually cheap goods. Take Missebo Market for instance, you’ll find well over a thousand different foreign brands of canned tomatoes alone, that’s dirty money being washed through informal trade.
@Mr_Amogu Should we be celebrating a state owned investment in transportation at this time when governments world over are divesting from such businesses to allow private sectors to drive such assets. BRT has operated in Lagos for over 2 decades because it's PPP. Think about it.
I bought Magnesium Glycinate sometime this year but never took it. I however have been hearing about how it supports muscle relaxation, Bone, Heart & Nerve Health so I took a tablet yesterday.
I woke up feeling like I just experienced the deepest, and most peaceful sleep this year. I am actually still in awe of the sleep I had.
If you don't know what Magnesium Glycinate is, here you go.

WHAT SPEAKING IN TONGUES IS NOT
1. Speaking in tongues is not speaking gibberish or meaningless sounds.
In Scripture, tongues were languages, intelligible to God and often to people (Acts 2:6-11).
2. It is not a mark of spiritual superiority.
St. Paul makes it clear that spiritual gifts vary, and no single gift makes a Christian “greater” than others (1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Romans 12:6-8).
3. It is not evidence that someone is more “born again” than others.
St. Paul explicitly teaches that not all speak in tongues (1 Corinthians 12:30), yet all belong to the same Body of Christ.
4. It is not a chaotic or disorderly experience.
St. Paul insists that spiritual gifts, including tongues, must follow order and discipline in worship (1 Corinthians 14:27-33).
5. It is not meant to draw attention to oneself.
Spiritual gifts are given for the common good - for service, not for self-display (1 Corinthians 12:7).
6. Speaking in tongues is not a replacement for charity and holiness.
Immediately after discussing tongues, St. Paul reminds us that without love, all gifts are empty (1 Corinthians 13:1-3).
7. It is not meant to dominate or disrupt the liturgy or worship.
St. Paul instructs that if there is no interpreter present, the person should pray quietly (1 Corinthians 14:28).
8. It is not the most important spiritual gift.
Paul clearly ranks gifts, urging believers to desire “greater gifts,” such as prophecy and teaching (1 Corinthians 14:1; 12:31).
9. It is not something everyone must experience to have the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit manifests in different ways in different believers (1 Corinthians 12:11; Romans 12:6-8).
10. Speaking in tongues is not a skill that is learned through practice; it is a gift that is given, and like every gift, it is given freely (by the Holy Spirit and not by merit - Acts 2:4).
Fr. Ugochukwu Ugwoke, Isch
I have every reason to be grateful to God. On this day 34 years ago, 10th December 1991, I was called to the largest Bar in Africa, the Nigerian Bar. I enrolled at the Supreme Court as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. I spent three days traveling to Lagos to be called to the Bar. I did not have the money to use taxi. I boarded a lorry call 911.
It was a lonely ceremony as I had nobody to accompany me on the trip. But God accompanied me. From 1991 till date God has been with me as a lawyer and legal practitioner. In all these years I travelled to almost all parts of Nigeria in the course of my legal practice. God has always blessed me and protected me.
Were there adversities? There were but in all God made me triumphed over all adversities. Within these thirty four years, the lord honoured me and elevated me to the Inner Bar on the 7th of July 2011. God has been kind to me. Given my background stories I am the most unqualified person to be so favoured by God. The stories of my life showed me that greatness is not a function of your background but a function of the grace of God.
The map of our destiny is in the hands of God. Whatever God destined a man to be he will be no matter the man made obstacles. I was never amongst those privileged to be sent to school. I did not start primary school until I was over 17 years. I ran to primary 2 on the 3rd of September 1977. I stopped at Primary 3, to learn motor cycle mechanics.
I finally got opportunity to write my first school leaving certificate examination in 1980 when late Umaru Fonga as Headmaster gave me the opportunity to do so. I did not go to secondary school at all. I wrote my GCE from home. Today I celebrate the hands of God upon my life. The story of my life is a story of from grass to grace. It is a syllabus of from nothing to something.
When God made a man, no man can unmake him. I am made by God and that is why I am whom I am by the grace of God. Happy 34th anniversary of being a lawyer to me. God lifted me far above my enemies. Blessed be the name of the lord. Join me thank God who made me what I am today and who is not done with me yet. Glory be to his name.
