Devolution is where power is taken from central government and given to smaller more localised governments. Most devolved governments have the right to make laws which affect their area. All devolved governments in the UK has different powers. #UKPW
You can email/write to your MP's office about issues which are affecting you, your community or if you'd like to know your MP's views on a topic. Whenever you write to them be sure to include your address so they know that you are their constituent.

The Queen's gives 'royal ascent' to every bill approved in parliament, turning it into a new law, she opens each new session of parliament, and after every General Election, The Queen asks the winning party (or parties) to form a government.

In short, 'left wing' is used to describe political ideologies which explore freedom, internationalism and rights; 'right wing' tends to look more at tradition, hierarchy and conservatism. #UKPW
