Now that I’ve had some time to catch my breath from a whirlwind of a week, THANK YOU to everyone who helped with, spoke at, & attended #HCTC25 to make it the MASSIVE success that it was!
The networking opportunities were incredible and the knowledge shared was monumental! Your energy & enthusiasm made it a truly memorable experience!
Already anticipating the BIGGEST @HeadCoachTC yet - as #HCTC celebrates 10 years in 2026! #HCTC26
Rock n’ Roll
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Leaderboard Contest at #HCTC25. Because of the great engagement, we decided to reward the top three instead of one winner! Congratulations to the contest winners: @Coach1Tash, @coachphillips_, @CoachTiffMorton.

Parental tools learned @HeadCoachTC that apply to being a great coach and parent:
✅ Something may not be your fault but it’s your responsibility
✅ Trust them to execute the responsibilities you give them
✅ Listen more than you speak
✅ Communicate with open ended questions
To see the game slow down and let it come to you is a special place to be in as a player . It’s even more special to be the teacher that helps guide their progression
No day’s off = being intentional with the use of your time and efforts; so that you can maximize your physical and mental ability to perform at an optimal level
“Empower the people around you, from the janitor to the athletic director. You do that by being sincere, caring about others, and then putting it into practice.” - Sue Gunter
Some take aways from going from Ast. Coach to HC to Ast:
- EVERYTHING matters
- Collaboration > competition
- Players notice EVERYTHING
- People will meet you where you perceive them to be over where you “want” them to be
