Off-ball screening forces defenses to communicate, switch, and recover often creating breakdowns and quality scoring chances. It highlights timing, spacing, and trust, key traits of disciplined, efficient basketball.
Attacking space is where real offense starts. Paint touches off the drive force the defense to collapse, trigger rotations, and open gaps all over the floor. That’s where advantage basketball shows up, one more passes become available, and good shots turn into great shots.
Ball screens don’t create the advantage… the guard does. If your defender can slip through the screen, the advantage is gone. But when you lock them on your back, force the chase, and keep the big in a decision… that’s when the offense opens up. Patience. Pace. Position.
“Young people, you need to bet on yourself.
If you think you're that good, you don't need a handout. You just allow your work to speak for itself."
Do not ask to be chosen.
Work until you cannot be ignored.

ATO’s and the first play of a game or half matter because they show preparation, coaching strategy, and execution. These moments are designed to create quality shots, establish rhythm, and reveal how well a team follows its game plan.
Pardon me, but I need to call out an absolute SHAM that has taken place with the @SEC WBB season awards
THE COACHES in the league have voted someone not named @AALIYAH2CHAVEZ as Freshman of the Year in the conference 🤡
Every single coach that didn’t vote for Aaliyah should be ASHAMED of themselves, truthfully — this an absolute disgrace
Some notes:
🏀 SEC record 8x Freshman of the Week
🏀 Led the league’s freshmen in PPG by 5.5 points
🏀 Among SEC frosh - PPG (1st), APG (2nd), SPG (3rd)
🏀 Only freshman in the league named to an All-SEC team (2nd team; first OU frosh since C Paris to be at least 2nd team)
🏀 first to win freshman of the week six or more times and not be Freshman of the Year in the SEC (but also probably in any conference ever!!)
What about that info gives any indication that someone else should win?
That last one is the biggest.. If Galvan is FOY, then why didn’t coaches put her on an All-SEC team??
I wouldn’t want to play against #2 this postseason, I’ll tell you that much…
