@bootstrapbi11 But all sports require that elite natural gift (at the highest levels). It’s why most professional athletes are also pretty good at other sports when they try them. Hell, most professional golfers have crazy good shooting in basketball.
@bootstrapbi11 Tell me which guys working in accounting are anywhere near as physically gifted as the last bench player in the NBA?
Every sport requires physical gifts. It may not be purely athleticism (basketball it’s height, golf it’s elite hand eye coordination, etc)
@troy57rider@64AMDG I’ve met plenty. Just because you’re big/strong/fast doesn’t mean you have the mental toughness/capacity/natural skillset for football.
It absolutely helps them be better, it does nothing to guarantee they’ll be good.
@chriscfore Chesney did an incredible job here in Worcester at Holy Cross and Assumption AND he is a man of character and charisma! UCLA got a good one. He’s also a HELL of a recruiter and has surrounded himself with excellent coaches!!
@BrianMcDev90273@tedcruz And yet they’re still not considered gerrymandered districts, because it’s not anywhere near as blatant as what states like Texas and Florida pull to nullify blue voters.
@_Ryan_Larson_ @mrsunbubbles@rob174671 This isn’t the double wing. Double wing is double wings with two tight ends.
This is flexbone, a more spread out triple option focus while the double wing is mostly gap scheme offense.
@bstylesmattapan He wasn’t good at BC, but he wasn’t the worst we’ve seen. He falls right in line with the other coaches since 2008, and is better than O’Brien is right now. The Admin at BC is ultimately at fault. Half’s staff recruited the hell out of MA, but didn’t have admin support.
@bstylesmattapan They haven’t had a head coach win in the transfer portal/NIL. Last time they had a coach above .500 was Jeff Jagodzinski in 07-08.
It’s been 18 years since Bc was relevant on a national level in football. It isn’t the coaches (or O’Brien would be better than 9 wins over 2 years)
@belprebruce1@educated_real@DanClarkSports He was a solid baseball player. He had 100 RBIs in 130 games and never played a full season but had 141 home runs. He was never a superstar baseball player (offensively), but also wasn’t awful. Aaron Judge is one of the best hitters on the planet and has more strikeouts than hits
@333clockface@NFL_DovKleiman BC doesn’t invest enough for anyone to be successful there in the current CFB climate, unfortunately. They have all the tools and could be awesome, and halfley was a great guy while he was there.
He did a better job as an NFL DC, which is why he got this job.
