Was texting with a Head Coach, and very good friend of mine, earlier tonight about how well his @blastathletics fundraiser did in their FIRST HOUR!
Coaches/Parents - how many fundraisers of yours did this in the first hour and first two weeks?
Nothing has raised Apple Valley Football money like this in 2 weeks. And we raise about $120-140,000 a year!!

My son is on day 2 of his first 3 days as a firefighter.
The crew at his station told him last night that he had to have the dishes done, the place swept and coffee made for the rest of them by the time they got up.
But they didn't tell him what time they were waking up. 😂😂😂
So he got up at 05:00 and got everything done.
The rest of the fellas awoke at 06:30!

119 changes/572 football schools.
Only one other year has seen more changes, but also had more schools playing, about 605.
This is the highest percentage of changes we have ever seen: 20.8%.
I track these from July 1 - June 30 each year.
We still have some time for more to be added this year.

3 mistakes that school district Human Resources offices make:

1. They hire far too fast to just fill vacant positions

2. They fail to have difficult conversations to hold employees accountable

3. They fail to align employee evaluations with current district goals and priorities

These 3 items are, in my opinion, key to moving districts forward with:

WHO they hire
HOW they supervise
WHY they evaluate and retain

You know how many Superintendents talk with head coaches in districts with more than 3 schools?!
Very, very rare. Very.

@chriscfore @LJacksonisGOAT8 3 straight CIF titles… and for a school that’s complaining about no money for lineup cards, they just got a turf field put in a year or two ago. Telling me the superintendent never checked into the only successful HS sport in the district or to see a field he helped approve?
