High School Coaches: WE still have room for a few more teams for our 7 on 7 Tournament and Linemen Challenge next Friday. If interested, please email or DM me ASAP. https://t.co/HsZGt9yiN7.OUR.
Players,
If your coach moves you to a different position, don’t take it personally.
He’s probably not moving you away from the field, he’s trying to find the spot that gives you the best chance to get on it.
Trust the process. Compete.
Recruits, I want to be clear about something:
If you aren't committed in the classroom, then I'm 100% convinced you aren't fully committed to your craft.
I've heard too many of you confidently say that a 2.7 or 2.8 GPA is enough to play college football. Today, I spoke with Dartmouth, and their requirements are a 3.6 GPA, a minimum ACT score of 25, and a minimum SAT score of 1200.
Guys, listen—this is bigger than football.
If you don't take school seriously, you'll end up at home talking about what you could have done, should have done, and would have done. I come from the "mess around and find out" era. School matters. Education matters.
At the Mercer camp today, I saw schools that couldn't even consider offering some athletes because of their GPA. Not because of their talent. Not because of their athletic ability. Because of their grades.
So I'm asking you—young student-athletes—do your job in the classroom first.
Football isn't forever, but your degree is. Football is a privilege, and it can be taken away quickly if you don't handle your responsibilities off the field.
Take your academics seriously. Hold yourself accountable. Get your grades up. Give yourself every opportunity to succeed, both on the field and in life.
Please, get it right.
🚨Attention ALL high school football players: if you want to play at the next level, get in front of our staff LIVE

Huge thank you to @CoachByrd916 for stopping by Manual HS today. Appreciate the connections built and the real talk spoken into some of our Bolts. Always like to see The City being intentionally put on recruiting maps.
🚨 High School Football Recruits and Parents
Not every camp is the RIGHT camp.
One of the biggest mistakes recruits make during the summer is attending camps simply because they are popular, heavily advertised, or loaded with big name programs.
Be strategic.
Do your homework before signing up for any camp.
Ask yourself:
✅ Does this school realistically fit me academically and athletically?
✅ Have the coaches shown real interest?
✅ Will I actually get quality reps?
✅ Is this camp built for evaluation or exposure?
✅ Does this camp fit my position and recruiting goals?
Mega camps can absolutely provide exposure and opportunities, but recruits also need to understand the reality:
➡️ Hundreds of athletes attend
➡️ Reps can be very limited
➡️ Coaches may only see you for a few snaps
➡️ Standing out becomes much harder without preparation
Sometimes a smaller position specific camp or an individual school camp can provide more meaningful coaching, better interaction, and more direct evaluation opportunities.
Remember this:
Exposure without preparation means nothing.
College coaches are evaluating far more than talent:
🏈 Body language
🏈 Effort
🏈 Coachability
🏈 Competitiveness
🏈 Communication
🏈 How you respond to adversity
Be intentional with your summer plan.
The goal is not to attend the MOST camps.
The goal is to attend the RIGHT camps.
Right Camps.
Right Reasons.
Right Opportunity.
Make this summer count
*I am a D1 Coach*
*You are a D1-Level (Recruitable) Prospect*
• You DM me with your tape that I love
• I am on the road recruiting your area
• I decide to add a stop at your school last minute on Friday
• You decide you want to skip school to extend your weekend
• I show up to your school and you're not there
• I leave
• We never have a conversation because I have to be 4 states over next week & my flight leaves in a couple hours
• You miss an opportunity by skipping school during the contact period
Moral: Know the NCAA Recruiting Calendar and DON'T miss school during this time!🫵 @5StarFBRecruits 🌟
