Every session is another opportunity to get a W. The mindset changes. It becomes less about surviving and more about winning. Attack every session. That is when the patient becomes an athlete
#Texans coach DeMeco Ryans on hosting @TXSTATEFOOTBALL coach G.J. Kinne @GJKinne at practice today: It was fun seeing G.J. congratulating him on the success he's had in his career. He's done a great job of establishing the culture at Texas State, former teammate and former neighbor of mine. Great to see guys flourish after the game. See the passion he has for recruiting and helping young men, great to see.'

Here's how you can afford BIG purchases
Create a sub-savings account for major purchases in the next 10 years, including:
- Wedding / honeymoon
- House down payment
- Vacation
- Car
- Whatever's coming up for you
To do this right, there are 2 steps:
1. You have to make reasonable assumptions about when one of these will happen. For example, I started saving for my wedding in my 20s even though I was single, knowing I'd probably get married in my 30s. Americans have a cultural resistance to assuming they will be like everyone else, but statistically, it's true -- so accept it! You'll probably buy a house! You'll probably get married! Accept reality and start saving now
2. Reasonably assume how much it will cost. For vacations, the key drivers are transportation & accommodation. You can google these and get an 85% accurate amount. Then add 50% to account for things you didn't think about. Done! Start saving now. Again, people resist this because it doesn't feel precise. Better to save 85% of the right amount than 0%.
At any given time, I've had 3-5 sub savings accounts live. We transfer money in automatically, even for years, and when the time comes, we make the purchase knowing we can afford it with room to spare
