In 2020, if you’re not Twitter Stalking 👀 others in your profession you are missing out on so many good ideas 💭. Thanks to these #physed teachers for sharing out their versions of this activity: @MikeMorrisPE@projectphysed@thepespecialist
Love! The objective is great, the lesson is student focused, and and the use of safe equipment is even better. This is a great example of how to teach an individual sport in a group setting.
Culminating activity in lesson 1 of golf #striking: Putt for Dough. If the ball stops within a putters distance from the cone, you earn the $ listed. #golf#physed
Any other international MS & HS #physed teachers out there whose classes are affected by #covid19 and are doing online classes? If so, what has worked for you so far? Let’s connect! #pegeek
Probs faced as a PE teacher in East Asia trying to do online classes during #COVID19:
1. Ss live in small apts w/ many family members w/ little to no space to exercise
2. Ss have to go to restaurants or cafes to get wifi
3. Outside isn’t an option many are comfortable with
Plan A: normal PE classes via Zoom
FAIL
Plan B: make own videos to send to Ss.
FAIL
Plan C: screen record YouTube videos to send to Ss along with a written assignment for accountability and grading purposes.
What I’m stuck with and It’s absolutely cringeworthy to me....
