Jose Mourinho on Captains vs Leaders👇
🗣”I have had captains that were not leaders. The connection is usually this guy has the arm band, he’s the captain, he’s the leader, no. Many times the captain is not the leader.”
Don't understand the trend of coaches complaining about recruits messaging them at bad times. You do realize most kids don't know the ins and outs of the process right? Should help them, not complain about something you can ultimately ignore if you wanted to
🗣️ "That special one story is an old story,"
Jose Mourinho discusses what he thinks of that 'special one' quote as he looks to make history tomorrow by becoming the first manager to win all three major European trophies ahead of their game against Feyenoord...
Just coached a U9 game and probably lost 20-0. Opposing coach made zero changes and allowed players to score at will. Post-game I asked my guys who learned more playing that game, us or them. Something coaches on both sides could probably do a better job of asking themselves
@robgibsonov If the team I am working with is doing poorly I think that is my fault. Or vice versa if a team is successful I don't think it's wrong to give credit to the coach. Not being able to call the team "there's" diminishes responsibilities or credit no?
Had run ins with many people that thought soccer culture is bad because the amount of cards players get (which by the way, really dont mean anything). But baseball has more bench cleaning brawls than any sport combined. Surprised this isn't talked about more
