Need a bandaid for a cranky low back? This is my quick fix go to.
Notice I said it’s a bandaid. Likely not going to fix the root of the problem, but a couple minutes here will sure make you feel better for the time being.
Athletes that feel better, play better.
Love the violence involved with this movement!
Get them to face towards the cable to start so when the hips flip, they are in a preset position to let that thing absolutely rip.
It is our job as coaches to put athletes in the best situation to get the most out of the exercise!
@JingPalaceWay Your picture example isn’t even close to the same movement as my video so this isn’t a relevant argument.
I’ve had a very professional conversation with you and you are using it negatively so it sounds like you’re the offended one here.
Thanks for the discourse.
@JingPalaceWay I don’t need to try it to know it’ll limit the movement I’m trying to achieve. I know enough biomechanics to safely and accurately make educated assumptions like that. Again, not offended. I just don’t think that methodology works for me in this situation. All good 👍🏼
GHD Lateral Band Rotations (or whatever you want to call this idk)
Love fixating the hips and using the GHD to force the obliques to leverage through trunk rotation here.
This one looks like eye wash but man does it get the job done if executed correctly
@JingPalaceWay Correct because the movement would change due to the leveraging that would have to be involved to hold a ball steady on the side of your head. It would add unnecessary constraint to the rotation of the trunk. I’ll resist it in a more feasible way to allow for more free movement
@JingPalaceWay Now just like any other time you’ve commented, I’m not offended. I simply don’t agree that the desired stimulus I am pursuing here would be met when you add load to the head instead. To each their own.
@JingPalaceWay Idk why you’re so mad brother. This is twitter. It’s not that deep lol. You don’t have the secret sauce for athletic performance just like me or anyone else. Just like what you like and leave what you don’t. Constant comments about “your way” aren’t needed. It’s all good 👍🏼
I find deep tier jumps are way more effective when weighted (for athletes with proficient movement)
This athlete specifically has the goal of adding more relative strength through length. Pretty standard stuff.
I like viewing deep tier work as “strength based” plyos
@JingPalaceWay You don’t even follow me brother. You just search for things to comment on so you can have interactions like this to drive engagement. I’ve seen you do it with multiple people. It’s just corny and boring
@StrCoachNetwork@DCSportTraining Nah I didn’t take it that way whatsoever! I would genuinely love some feedback and just wanted to give a little more context than my initial post allowed!
