THE DISCIPLINE OF FOCUS

Control what you can. Release what you can’t. Focus on what matters.

The more control you have over your attention, the more intentional you can be about your direction.

The difference between moving forward with purpose and constantly feeling overwhelmed often comes down to one thing:

Where are you placing your focus?

Energy spent worrying about things outside your control is energy you can’t invest in the things you can influence.

FOCUS ON WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL:
• Your mindset
• The effort you put into relationships
• How you take care of yourself
• Productivity vs. procrastination
• Your attitude
• Your reactions and behavior
• How you nurture your mind
• How you manage your time
• Your priorities
• The solutions you pursue

RELEASE WHAT YOU CAN’T CONTROL:
• What others think or say about you
• Other people’s motives and actions
• The choices others make
• How others treat you
• The past
• The future
• Global events
• The weather
• Time
• Circumstances outside your control

Your thoughts influence your actions. Your actions shape your direction. And your focus determines where your energy goes.

Don’t give your best energy to things you were never meant to control.

Control what you can.
Release what you can’t.
Focus on what matters.
Keep moving forward.

“Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work in hand. The sun’s rays do not burn until brought to a focus.” ☝️

Protect your focus. Invest your energy. Pursue your purpose.

Pre-season conditioning, is not just about getting in shape. It’s about seeing who will fight thru adversity. Who fight or flee during tough times. And will the team stay together. It’s more than just a mile time.
