Ben McCollum, Josh Schertz, Jerrod Calhoun, Lennie Acuff, Matt Logie, Tobin Anderson, Erik Olen, Andy Newman, Mike DeGeorge, Bart Lundy, Sundance Wicks, Alex Pribble, Stan Gouard, Ryan Looney, Grant Leonard, John Shulman, and Paul Corsaro are all recent (last 5 years) former DII coaches that have had success at the DI level.

Not to mention the reigning NBA Champion Boston Celtics Head Coach Joe Mazzula was a DII Head Coach at Fairmont State just over 5 years ago and the #1 team in the country Auburn Tigers are coached by former DII National Champion Bruce Pearl.

Surprised that trend has not been as popular this cycle considering recent top-end success. Something to follow heading into Black Monday and over the next few weeks.
