@newinattica@PatriotBlazer@Aedrareforged If you’re ever in Amish Country Ohio (Specifically Berlin) I will take you to Boyd & Wurthmann’s for their “Wreck” I’m no world traveler but it’s damn good
@PatriotBlazer@Aedrareforged@newinattica There’s no way Europe has better breakfast… all breakfast foods in a pile smothered in sausage gravy… you can’t beat that 🤣😂
@coachmarker@rweaver23 Personally, I think the catcher calls the game, coaches have a system to communicate with the catcher for guidance. I think if you talk to your team they should have a good idea when to run. It’s about conversations with the kids so they understand when to do certain things.
@BradyDoorey 1. Be yourself, do it your best. People may want to run you out or fire you someday so do it a way you sleep easier at night.
2. Baseball involves players playing, as a coach your job is mostly in practice. Manage on game day, don’t over coach.
3. Protect the game.
@balkwhisperer It’s not the umpires job to raise the players. This problem is in the dugout with the coach. As Bob Knight said “there is no better motivator in sports than butt on bench”. This behavior is too common in HS baseball too 🙃 sad sports world currently
@nonsenseballer Two things for the click bait keyboard warrior:
1) What elite college baseball program do you coach at?
2) This is a college staff in year 3 so it’s a build. In a microwave society don’t lose track that Rome wasn’t built in a day. Just like you didn’t become a loser in a day
@coachzblair10 Players today have all the gear. I’m ok with it if it’s 35 degrees and pretty windy, by all means try to stay warm within reason, but what gets me is the under the jersey hooded shirt in June/July. Just my two cents.
@AlPawlowski@coachbbelden For HS baseball I think you start practicing mid March, first game end of April, playoffs by second week of June and conclude the season by July 4th. Starting HS games when the MLB starts games is absurd. I’ve spent 6 hours on field work the last few day to get games in.
I’m going with the strike thrower to start. Based on game flow get the flamethrower in late for maybe a time through the order. If he sees where the game is at and we have a lead when he enters, he may find the zone more and guys will be late on his FB, we’ll let that hunt 👍🏼 I’m a career JV coach I’ll take either velo on my team currently 🤣😂
