🚨 Michigan Democrats want another $3 MILLION in taxpayer money to recruit, train and place IMMIGRANTS in Michigan jobs.
The program’s stated goal:
“100,000 to 125,000 college-educated immigrants to the Michigan workforce by 2030.”
The filing already reports $10 MILLION in previous state funding. Now they’re requesting $3,017,000 MORE.
Sponsor: Stephanie Chang.
Co-sponsor: Mallory McMorrow.
The program includes recruiting immigrants and helping those already here qualify for jobs.
We DON’T TRUST government. It’s not about Republicans or Democrats. We want a small and limited government. We don’t trust the system, we don’t trust the science, we don’t trust Dr. Fauci and we have damn good reason.
The communists want us to trust the system when they have power. Burn the system down they say… When it’s policing or immigration enforcement, but blindly trust the system when they decide to vaccinate the entire population? Yeah, no. We’re not that dumb, or at least I’ll speak for myself… I’m not going, no way Jose.

✔️Examine the performance environment of any endeavor.
▪️Take note of the demands.
Then create training sessions that best maintain the holistic integrity of those demands.
If it’s in the game, it’s in our training.

Desr USA 🇺🇸
Bureaucrats and administrators will not improve youth talent development; educators will.
Development is not about the governance of the game.
Methodology matters.

Dear USA 🇺🇸
Are we willing to stop the same old excuses and change the way we train our youth players?
Yes, our women also. No more “it works for our women” nonsense as we all know that success was a product of other countries’ failure to support women. And even we fail our women in so many ways still.
Field by field, the status quo is so deeply rooted. The institutions do not care and have proven incapable or unwilling or both to improve the education of our young.
Clubs are merely a consortium of unsupported and isolated coaches doing what was done unto them.
Seriously. We are adults stuck so far in the past that we think going forward will happen in reverse.
I’m not waiting for the powers, the politicians or the pundits of soccer to change as their incentive to do so is non-existent.
We are going forward with a clear vision on how children best maximize their potential.
We have nurtured champions at every level of the game and on distinct continents. We have already proven our practice thousands of times over.
We no longer wait for acronyms to act. They will not do more than pad their websites with platitudes.
We are respectfully rebellious and we are players, coaches and parents with purpose.
@JohanCruyff inspired us and we respect and love him for that always. More than you will ever know.
However, TOVO is a family unbridled and no longer bound by twitter trolls or league burocrats.
We are passing on the left and welcoming all who care enough about children to leave the parking lot of complacency for the fast lane of the fabulous.
Vamos!

*Zlatan on Messi missing the PK*
“Everyone misses PK’s. I’ve missed PK’s, Thierry has missed PK’s… Alexi was never asked to take PK’s so he couldn’t miss…” 😬😬
🚨🗣️NEW: Zlatan Ibrahimović on FIFA’s new mouth-covering red card rule: as Almiron was given a red card for covering his mouth in the game between Paraguay and Turkey
“I have seen football at its highest level, the real football. Not this watered-down version they are serving us now. What happened with Almirón? A straight red card for covering his mouth? This is not football anymore. This is a circus run by bureaucrats in suits who have never felt the fire of the pitch.”
“Covering your mouth is now a red card? What is this, Big Brother on the field? FIFA wants to read lips, punish thoughts before they even become words. Next they will put muzzles on players like dogs. Players cannot even talk, cannot even breathe passion without some VAR robot or referee deciding your emotions are illegal. This is dystopian. Football is dying.”
“This rule was born because some players cry every week. One incident in the Champions League and suddenly the whole world must change. But elbow a man, break his leg, or spit — sometimes you get a yellow and a pat on the back. Two-tier football. Protect the protected, punish the rest. I have played in every league and I have seen it.”
On the softness of the modern game:
“Maradona would be sent off in the tunnel. Roy Keane? He would laugh at the referee and walk off with a smile while the stands burn. Pepe would have collected five reds before half-time. Today? Players are becoming actors, not warriors. They fall, they cry, they hide behind rules. Where is the masculinity? Where is the character? Football is not ballet. It is war. And they are turning it into a polite conversation with red cards as punctuation.”
“I, Zlatan, have scored goals that made stadiums shake and said things that made opponents tremble — without hiding. This generation is being raised soft. If you cannot handle words on the pitch, how will you handle life? FIFA is not protecting football. They are burying it. And one day, the real fans will rise and say: enough. Bring back the game.”
About 65% of goals are scored with a one-touch finish in professional competition. Another +- 20% from two touches.
They best way to train this reality is to train with reality. Defenders in play.
🗣️ Play to train. Train to play.

It’s a hot topic…
Colorado cuts its youth affiliates. Girona starts a program. FCB, La Liga, Liverpool, Man U, Valencia, etc. More than we can count.
▪️Consumer Protection Advice
Be vigilant. These pro clubs have marketing departments that sell licenses regionally and do not do this for pro pathways. They do it for brand recognition and ticket or merchandise sales. Sometimes for the clothing brands that sponsor them. Usually there is an internal marketing or a sports management group behind it.
Logos sell. They know it.
They may not lie, but some mislead parents and players. These are not pro pathways in the way some present.
I have had firsthand experience in this at two of the best youth academies in Europe and one top flight club in Mexico.
✔️Choose a program because your child loves the coaches and learns from them. Find that experience and it may come from your local club, a high school or from a logo program.
If you are being sold top flight pathway to the pros, you are being misguided.
▪️ Disclaimer
I run a private training method and programs from 2 weeks to 1 month. It may seem like I am criticizing for profit. Fair point. So it may seem.
However, the reason I started TOVO ironically was to create a pure development program. No politics. No power struggles. We never promise pro contracts or mislead in marketing for this very reason. I have been on the inside and I know what is sales nonsense and what is quality programming.
▪️Focus
Find a wholesome place for your child to fall in love with the beautiful game.
If that is at a logo camp or other big brand, great. If that is with the local coach who inspires and cares for kids, great.
Do your homework as a parent and your diligence will be rewarded in your child’s passion.
✔️ Smiles and high fives are the certification of approval.
Find good people who care about kids.
Good luck and be well.

There’s a huge gap difference between expectations and reality for recruits during the recruitment process. The expectation is to Play NCAA D1 at an elite school. That’s fine, you should want the best. But the reality is most of you will not play NCAA D1 soccer.
1% of you will play NCAA D1 Power 4 or at an elite D1 mid-major.
1% of you will play at a lower tier mid-major D1.
5%+ of you will play D2, D3, NAIA & JC
Please make sure to cast a wide net and consider ALL your options.
