Let's start a "Renovate A School" (RAS) movement.

People will nominate schools for renovation all over the country, and one will be picked randomly.

The chosen school will get renovated and crowdfunded.

Here's the catch: once a school is renovated by the public, the voters in that area have to promise to vote out the current representative (House of Representatives/chairman).

This will make elected officials pay attention and really push for changes in our education system.

Most players fail football trials before they even touch the ball. Here is how to actually pass one.

Let me tell you something that will reframe everything you think you know about football trials. Studies suggest that only about 30% of players who go on trial actually get noticed- not signed- noticed. And if you ask most of the others who came home without a contract what went wrong, they will tell you it was their performance. In most cases, it was not. It was everything around the performance that they did not prepare for.

So let me talk  ro you about what actually gives you a chance.

1) Arrive trial fit. Not match-fit. Trial-fit.
There is a difference, and it matters. Professional football in Europe demands between 1,000 and 1,400 explosive actions per game, most of them short are sharp movements under five seconds with almost no recovery time in between.

This is not the same physical demand as dominating your peers in your domestic league. A player who has been training normally back home and arrives at a trial expecting to keep up with that intensity is going to fatigue in a way that looks like poor quality to the coaching staff watching him.

From now on, start conditioning specifically for that intensity at least four to six weeks before you travel. HIIT(High Intensity Interval Training) sessions, repeated sprint work, explosive agility drills.

Do not just running long distances. Your aerobic base might be fine. It is your anaerobic recovery that European football is going to test.

In case you didn’t know, your aerobic base is has to do with moderate or long-duration cardiovascular conditioning or “cardio.” During cardiovascular conditioning, your breathing and heart rate increase for a sustained period of time while anaerobics involve quick bursts of energy and are performed with maximum effort for a short time.

Learn the difference and train both.

2) Learn the tactical language before you get there. In multiple languages.

What do I mean?

A lot of people don’t do this. It doesn’t mean you should be one of them. Not doing it has cost so many players their opportunity. When a coach shouts "press the trigger," "hold your line," "drop into the half-space," or "play out of the press," he is not going to stop and explain it.

He expects you to process it and move immediately. If you have never been taught that language, you are going to be half a second slow on every instruction, and half a second in a professional training session is the difference between looking sharp and looking lost. Before your trial, study the tactical system of the club you are going to. Watch their games. Understand their pressing triggers, their defensive shape, their build-up patterns. Arrive knowing the vocabulary.

But here is the part people completely ignore. Learn it in English, and learn it in the language of the country you are going to. If you are heading to Germany, learn how to say "man on," "turn," "give me the ball," "one-two," "away" in German. If it is France, learn it in French. If it is Portugal, learn it in Portuguese. These are not complicated phrases.

They are the words that fly around a training pitch every single session, and if you can shout them naturally, teammates start to trust you faster. Communication on a football pitch is instinctive. If you are the only person who sounds lost, you will feel lost, and you will play like it.

Morever, beyond the training ground vocabulary, try to learn a few basic conversational phrases too. How to greet people. How to say you are fine. How to express yourself even if it’s just a little. It does not have to be perfect. Nobody expects you to be fluent.

But the moment a recruitment officer or a coach sees a player from Africa or Asia making a genuine effort to speak the local language, that registers. It signals readiness. It signals seriousness. It tells the room that this person did their homework before they arrived, and that is exactly the kind of character clubs are looking for beyond the technical ability.

3) Simplify your game, do not expand it.
This is advice that UEFA Pro Licence coaches give consistently and most players do the opposite. When you are nervous and trying to impress, the temptation is to do too much. To dribble more, to shoot more,to  attempt the difficult pass.

Resist that completely please.

It’s a high risk, high reward thing though but what I know is that scouts are not watching for the spectacular. They are watching for the player who cannot do the basics wrong. THe one who controls the ball cleanly, passes sharply, moves intelligently, and makes quick decisions under pressure.  Do what you do best, and do it simply.

4) Manage the psychological side like it is part of your training.

It actually is. Research from sports psychology institutions across Europe has found consistently that fear of failure and performance anxiety directly slow down decision-making speed and reduce a player's ability to process coaching instructions in real time.

And the specific trigger for most players going on trial is the feeling that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. That pressure becomes impossible to perform under.

The honest reframe is this: a trial is a job interview, not a final. Harry Kane was rejected by Arsenal at eight years old for being too small and too slow. N'Golo Kanté was overlooked by almost every club in France before he worked his way up from the lower leagues. The trial you are going to is one data point in a career, not the whole career. You will have many more chances. Play with that in your head, not the weight of everything depending on the next 90 minutes. No pressure.

Finally, Your behaviour off the pitch is being evaluated too.

How you carry yourself in the canteen, how you respond to a mistake in training, how you speak to teammates you have never met, whether you listen when the coach is talking, all of it is being observed. Clubs are not just signing your left foot. They are signing a person who is going to live in their environment. Show them someone they actually want around.
