@jamescoder12 A powerful reminder that bold investments in ambitious ideas can create extraordinary returns. Patience and long-term vision really matter.
In January 2015, Google wrote a check for $900 million to invest in a rocket company.
The rocket company had never turned a profit. It had exploded multiple rockets. Its CEO wanted to colonize Mars. Wall Street thought the investment was reckless.
11 years later: that $900 million is worth $83.7 billion.
A 93x return. $82.8 billion in profit. On a single investment. In a company that was blowing up rockets when the check cleared.
Google’s parent company Alphabet disclosed in its latest SEC filing (November 6, 2026) that it held 555 million SpaceX shares valued at approximately $83.73 billion as of September 30, 2026. SpaceX is now Alphabet’s single largest equity holding representing 94.78% of its entire reported U.S. stock portfolio.
Google didn’t just invest in SpaceX. Google bet almost a billion dollars on Elon Musk in 2015 when Tesla was struggling, when SpaceX was exploding Falcon 9s, when Starlink didn’t exist, when the idea of reusable rockets was science fiction to most people.
That bet is now worth more than the GDP of most countries.
Here’s the full story of the investment that turned $900 million into $83.7 billion and what it reveals about the difference between smart money and scared money 🧵
Okay this is pretty solid.

Tesla built a factory line for 250,000 Cybertrucks a year. In 2027, it's giving that space to a car with no steering wheel.
On Friday, Elon Musk posted on X that Tesla will be winding down Cybertruck production at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of next year. The reason: to make room for more Cybercab production.
The Cybertruck was supposed to be Tesla's most iconic vehicle. A stainless-steel pickup unveiled in 2019, with a famous window-smashing demo, a cult following, and endless memes.
The Cybercab is the opposite. Two seats. No steering wheel. No pedals. No mirrors. A robotaxi you're not supposed to drive at all.
And the numbers explain the choice. Tesla's "Other Models" category, which includes the Cybertruck, delivered just 8,295 vehicles last quarter, down from 12,364 the quarter before. The lines were built for 250,000 trucks a year.
Meanwhile, the Cybercab started paid public rides in Austin in September, and Tesla is aiming for at least 2 million a year across more than one factory.
Six months ago, Tesla killed the Model S and Model X. Now the Cybertruck is next in line.
Here's what's actually happening at Giga Texas, and what it tells you about the company Tesla is becoming. 🧵👇

But there's another powerful permission most people rarely inspect.
It's called Notification Access.
An app with this access may be able to read incoming notifications from other apps, including private messages and account alerts.
