Excited to officially join Rule42 as an Affiliate Scout for Softball! 🥎

I wholeheartedly believe in the mission and vision of Rule42 and what we are working to build for the sport of Softball, from the amateur level through the professional ranks.

Ultimately, this is about elevating the standard of softball scouting. Building a credible, consistent and professional evaluation system that supports the identification, evaluation and projection of softball talent across the country.

Proud to be part of a collective effort to move our sport forward and contribute to the continued growth of softball at every level.

Worked on my curve and drop ball today!l with @HaleyMeinen

With my curve I focused on being able to start it more inside so it breaks to the corner/river instead of curving more off the plate. Really confident in my curve soon right now!!

For the drop, I worked on being able to stay on top of it longer so I can start it higher and get the same break to it.

This is LEGIT.

I think what makes it especially exciting is that it’s not just another recruiting platform, it’s bringing a professional scouting and evaluation model into the amateur & professional space.

Modernizing how amateur and professional athletes are scouted, evaluated, ranked, and discovered.

Instead of relying primarily on showcases, exposure events, recruiting networks, and word of mouth, athletes will be getting evaluated through a standardized, credible evaluation system. The 20–80 scouting scale is the traditional grading system used by Major League Baseball scouts to evaluate a player’s tools (5) and project future ability.

I love this for the sport of Softball.
