@DocStaples@TB424 That’s true and alot has went on to succeed (Kirby, Lanning, Kiffin, Sark, Jimbo etc.) Cignetti also comes from Saban’s coaching tree which makes this hilarious lol. Side note: Sark could count for Pete Carrol’s coaching tree but I digress
@TB424@DocStaples IU coordinators who success is solely under Cig. with no experience in “big boy” football outside of IU gets credit, but Schumann who’s learned under Saban & Kirby doesn’t get credit ? lol. I get recency bias & any coach that’s is hired has risks but Schumann can be legit
@EasyVeazeyNG Fair point & it happens to the best of them, but Dabo’s problems are more from being hard-headed about the portal and not wanting to adapt to NIL. Clemson has money
@josh_newberg He had the #3 recruiting class in ‘16 & the #6 class in ‘17 — how is that not considered “stacking top classes”?
I agree Jimbo needed to evolve after years of success, but sustaining elite success is extremely difficult. Saban is the only HC who truly mastered it in this era
Saying Jimbo’s “career” was trending down while his team was ranked #3 in this video is a choice. They win 10+ games in 2017 if Dirty doesn’t have a season-ending injury in this game.
When #wewantbama goes wrong.
Jimbo Fisher career was trending down heading into this game and it broke him. Some could argue the FSU program still hasn't recovered.
@R_Barnes407 Jimbo was 83-23 at FSU. He’d be coaching in the ACC, not the SEC—the same ACC Mario is currently ruling after being fired by FIU in his career. Bear Bryant couldn’t even win at A&M & while Mike Elko deserves credit, it’s funny that his BEST PLAYER was signed by Jimbo
@RohanLawPC That is a very interesting narrative that continues to be said. I was apart of the program from ‘16-‘21. I saw a lot. People can think what they want, but not all narratives being said are facts is more of the point I was trying to make.
@SMUFBOffense@ACCessPony You’re right, FSU will not hire another Gus Malzahn disciple if they decide to make a change. You just said it yourself: “These Days.” It doesn’t take a lot for a program like FSU to return to it’s winning ways if the right moves are made.
@SMUFBOffense@ACCessPony 1. This was a Louisville fan commenting his personal thoughts , not an FSU fan.
2. He will eventually leave SMU because he’s never winning anything there.
3. Is Eric Dickerson still at SMU?
