Ok - so keep this in mind when you’re thinking about college exposure tournaments.

Listening to the Q&A this past weekend, solidified a couple things for me.

1. GONE AWAY are the days where colleges show up to tournaments and just “go to find talent.” Especially at higher levels. The majority are going to watch kids that interested them with video footage via email (continuous NEW footage), or they liked at their camp. IF you happen to be balling out.. and they see you! 👏

2. HUGE exposure tournaments with multiple field locations that could be 50-min from each other are hard. Especially when the “main complex” is not where your team is playing. Which proves my point above! The interest is developed from coaches earlier than the tournament.

3. If you don’t have player profile sheets/QR code that brings a coach to your player profile… you’re way behind the power curve. You needed that like yesterday.

4. Lastly, if you know a college is going to come and watch you play… let your club coach know. I encourage my Athletes to look up the coach on the website to see what they look like so you know who is showing up. Hopefully your club has a coach/identified person to chat with coaches during the games if they have questions. My biggest pet peeve was not being able to ask questions I had to coaches because they did not have someone identified to answer them.
