25% is absolutely appropriate!

🚨People need to read this and ask themselves one simple question…

Last night a couple went out to dinner.

Their bill came to $200.

They left a $50 tip.

That is 25%.

Let that sink in for a second.

Twenty five percent.

But according to the waiter… that wasn’t enough.

He looked at the $50 and refused to take it.

Then told them if they weren’t willing to leave at least $85… they shouldn’t be eating out.

Imagine sitting there with your spouse… trying to enjoy a night out… and being told your generosity isn’t good enough.

Now pause for a second and think about the math.

A $50 tip on a $200 bill.

That is already higher than the traditional 15% that restaurants operated on for decades.

It’s higher than 20%.

It’s literally a quarter of the bill.

And somehow we’ve arrived at a point where a server can reject a 25% tip and demand more.

The comments under the story are fascinating.

People saying 25% is more than fair.

Others pointing out that tipping culture is completely out of control.

Some saying they would have picked the $50 back up and walked out.

Others saying leave a dollar.

But here’s the real question…

When did gratitude turn into entitlement?

A tip is supposed to be a voluntary reward for good service.

It is not a mandatory surcharge decided by the server after the fact.

If a customer leaves 25% and the response is rejection and humiliation… what exactly are we doing here?

This is why people are starting to push back.

Because the moment generosity gets treated like an obligation… people stop wanting to give it.

Curious what people think.

If you had a $200 dinner bill and left a $50 tip… and the server told you it wasn’t enough…

What would you do?

Pick the $50 back up?

Leave it and walk away?

Or never go back?

Pero el director me pidió que me sentara.

Se rió.

—Era una chatarra.

Llegamos a casa.

Le pedí su celular.

—Dámelo.

También le pedí las llaves de su moto.

La moto que le regalé el año pasado.

Se quedó mirándome.

—¿Hablas en serio?

Al día siguiente hicimos algo.

Fuimos a una tienda de bicicletas.

Compré una nueva.

Buena.

$900.

Luego fuimos a la casa del chico.

Mi hijo cargaba la bicicleta.

Tocó la puerta.

Cuando el chico abrió, mi hijo no sabía qué decir.

Yo sí.

—Mi hijo rompió la tuya.

Le entregué la nueva.

El chico parecía confundido.

Mi hijo murmuró:

—Perdón.

Pensé que ahí terminaría todo.

Pero no.

Cuando salimos, le dije algo más a mi hijo.

—La moto se vende mañana.

Se quedó congelado.

—¿Qué?

—Para pagar esta bicicleta.

Se enojó.

Gritó.

Dijo que era injusto.

Que fue solo una broma.

Hoy vendí la moto.

Mi hijo no me habla.

Mi exesposa dice que lo humillé.

Que exageré.

Que solo era una bicicleta vieja.

Pero ayer vi algo raro.

Mi hijo salió temprano de casa.

Caminando.

Treinta minutos después pasó frente a mí en la calle.

Iba con el chico de la bicicleta nueva.

Los dos caminaban al colegio.

Hablando.

No sé si hice lo correcto.

Pero por primera vez…

mi hijo no iba riéndose de alguien.

Iba caminando con él.
