Some D1 programs filled their incoming class almost entirely with freshmen. Others didn't sign a single one.

Highest freshman share of the incoming class:
→ Stanford — 92% (11 of 12)
→ UMass Lowell — 85% (11 of 13)
→ Le Moyne — 83% (10 of 12)
→ Maine — 75% (12 of 16)
→ Davidson — 75% (9 of 12)

Lowest:
→ Stephen F. Austin — 0% (0 of 28)
→ Western Illinois — 0% (0 of 24)
→ Austin Peay — 0% (0 of 22)
→ UL Monroe — 4% (1 of 25)
→ UT-Martin — 6% (1 of 16)

By raw count, Texas and Merrimack brought in the most freshmen in D1 — 16 each.

Nationally, freshmen are 37% of incoming players; the other 62% are transfers. Subscribers get the freshman, four-year and JUCO split for every program.

(Ivy League, Patriot League and service academies left off the top list on purpose — their classes are almost entirely freshmen for structural reasons, not a roster-building choice.)

👉212 of 309 D1 programs already have full rosters live on the dashboard — with more publishing every day. This is a first glance, not the final picture.
