Varsity Baseball loses to Moeller in Regional Final 7-0. Elks finish season 25-5, GWOC Champs, District Champs, and Regional Runner Up. Our community support was incredible and our senior class made an impact. One of the best Centerville TEAMs in history.
‘27 LHP Joey Kristbaum (@CHSElkBaseball) w/ a super interesting look in relief. Came in & pounded the zone for 3 & Kd 5, allowing only 1 hit & picked up the W. FB lived 83-85 w/ a ton of life while working from a lower slot. Flipped in a CH in the upper 70s & a slurvy breaking ball in the mid 7s. Projectable & high waisted. Really liked this. #PGHS @JoeyKristbaum
FINAL: Centerville 5, Pickerington North 4
Soren Vitas scores from second after attempting to steal third and a throw goes wild into the outfield allowing him to score. Centerville rallies from a run down in the seventh to advance to face Moeller at 5pm Wednesday.
Varsity Baseball beats Pickerington North 5-4 on a walk off with 2 R in B7. Sr Luke Maciejewski and Jr Joey Kristbaum pitched. Offense led in walk off by Jr Joey Kristbaum (3B) and Jr Soren Vitas (RBI/R/2 SB). Elks play tomorrow 5PM in Regional final at Wright State.
‘26 Luke Maciejewski (@CHSElkBaseball) stays behind & drives this ball to the RC gap for a triple. Narrow stance that accelerates the barrel thru the zone. @WVCBaseball commit. #PGHS@LMaciejewski22
‘27 OF Josh Becker (@CHSElkBaseball) has added a couple hits so far in this look. Present physicality that has a smooth controlled movement to the ball. #PGHS@JoshBecker101
‘26 DH Braden Stoehr (@CHSElkBaseball) barrels up this FB in the gap for a 2B. Efficient bat speed w/ some juice. Whip to the barrel & is on time. #PGHS
‘27 Joey Kristbaum (@CHSElkBaseball) w/ a huge swing in the B7. Triples here in the RC ally (clip). Loose hands that create EZ leverage. #PGHS@JoeyKristbaum
‘27 INF Soren Vitas (@CHSElkBaseball)
Huge chain of events here. Vitas hammers a single thru the 5-6 hole to tie things up. Then steals 2B. A pitch later, steals 3B & advances to home on throwing miscue to win the game. Pandemonium. #PGHS
Finished 2-3 out of the 9 hole. 2-sport ATH that flashes the athleticism & twitch. @SorenVitas
‘26 RHP Luke Maciejewski (@CHSElkBaseball) got the start in this one, going 4. Command scattered but the traits are there. FB lived 86-88/89 (ride) and spun a breaker in the low 70s. Lively arm w/ more to come. Legit two-way projection. #PGHS@LMaciejewski22
Congratulations to @CHSElkBaseball on punching their ticket to regionals!! 🏆😤💯
They will play Pickerington North, Tuesday, June 2nd, 5pm at Wright State University.
