#uncommitted southpaw that sat in the low/mid 80s in blistering temps 🥶@PB_Uncommitted

FB generated a lot of whiffs from hitters failing to get their hands above the ball. Lower release point w/ some ride creates the rising effect to hitters.

🗣️ 2029 OF/SS Grayson DePompei

📝 Report: DePompei checks in as a new entry on the 2029 Ohio board out of Westerville Central, and the first thing that jumps off the page is how he moves. He clocked a 6.70 laser-timed 60 that plays ahead of the class, and that speed shows up all over the field when he gets after it in center. Pair that with a short, quick gap-to-gap swing and an above-average arm, and you've got a player who already operates at a higher gear than most of his peers at this stage.

🗣️ 2029 RHP Mason Pavolino

📝 Report: Coming in at No. 21 in the 2029 class, Mason Pavolino is a name to watch on the mound — a 6-foot-1, 190-pound Westerville Central RHP who already sat 83-85 and touched 85, well ahead of a 2029 class average. Our evaluators have noted a heavy fastball that misses barrels with a smooth delivery, and his three-pitch mix gives him a real foundation to develop as a legitimate starting pitching prospect. There's some two-way intrigue here as a sub-7 runner with a 94 EV and 86 mph arm in the outfield, but the mound is where the projection lives.

2028 SS Jase Brownlee (Defiance HS)

Brownlee turned in an impressive performance at the Ohio Fall Games - Session 1. The right-handed hitter showed a strong offensive/athletic profile, posting a 6.89 60, 96.0 EV and 77.2 mph bat speed, while also reaching 82 mph across the infield. Brownlee backed it up in game action with a home run and triple. A 2028 MIF prospect to follow as he continues to develop. 👀

2028 C/3B/RHP Miles Wolf

📝 Report: Wolf is an intriguing prospect in the 2028 class, and the tools behind the dish are what jump off the page first. The Top Prospect Games standout showed that his arm plays well behind the plate, and his pop times put him in a legitimate tier of catching prospects at this stage of development for a player his age. At the plate he generates easy, above-average exit velocity with a swing that produces a ton of line drives, showing the kind of barrel control you want to see before a frame fills out. Add in the fact that he can take the mound and sit in the mid-80s with a multi-pitch mix, and you have a prospect with real value on both sides of the ball. University School's Wolf moved up two spots to No. 77 in the class and has a chance to keep climbing as his 6-foot frame continues to develop.

🗣️ 2029 1B/LHP Kellen DeSimone

📝 Report: DeSimone is a left-handed hitting first baseman out of Midview who checks in at No. 26 in the 2029 class on the strength of a mature offensive profile that plays above his age. He generates raw power from the left side and has shown the ability to tap into it, the kind of hitter who can change the scoreboard in one swing. The gap-to-gap barrel control is real, and with his profile he could continue to climb with more looks.

2028 SS Cody Zahler

📝 Report: Zahler was the standout performer in his session at the 2026 Ohio Top Prospect Games at Prasco Park. At the plate he touched 101 mph exit velocity with a 94.2 mph average, sitting well above the class average. Defensively, his 87 mph infield velo is already well above the 75th percentile for the class and serves as the loudest tool on the card. His 7.04 laser-timed sixty further confirms he is a legitimate athlete, not just a bat, and his grip strength and jump numbers out of the athletic testing paint the picture of a kid with a physical foundation that will continue to develop. Zahler is trending up in a real way, having climbed more than 40 spots in the Ohio 2028 rankings since his first entry.
