Going to post this again. Just under a month away! Looking forward to a great day of baseball and raising funds for the @bwhfoundation Cancer Clinic Re-development campaign. The event has really taken off and cannot wait to see the final tally! @TheOCAA
@BallMechanic You’ve always carried yourself with class and done so much for this game and community. No one should have to deal with that kind of disrespect. Proud to know you and grateful for everything you’ve given. You’re stepping away with your head high — as you should.

Batting Practice & The Game
The results of 1 don’t always mean anything to the other
* Hitters can have a bad BP and rake in the game.
* Hitters can hit well in BP and not perform at 7:00.
Don’t let BP change how you feel about yourself as a hitter

Ballplayers out there: Do you have set pre-game, in-game and post-game routines? If not, know that you’re truly leaving things up to chance, rather than stacking the odds in your favor.
A set pre-game routine routine will lead to you going into competition energized, confident and prepared. (Breathwork/Meditation/Visualization was my go-to)
Set in-game routines will lead to you slowing the game down, playing in the present-moment and quickly bouncing back from adversity when it comes your way. (Pre-pitch, flip the switch and flush-it routines were my favorite)
A set post-game routine is all about reflecting on your performance, leaving success notes for your future self, and moving on to the next task at hand in life. (journaling was my go-to)
“When we make athlete mental health a priority; when we have a proper understanding of how to best support athletes; and when we pay careful attention to the environments in which they exist, we will see athletes thrive."

I know many dads who are great at using athletics to build stronger relationships and improve their child’s skills.
While maybe the majority tell me “I’m just dad, they don’t listen to me”
Here is what I’ve noticed the successful ones do 🧵
Today and every day, we take a stand to support LGBTQ youth and guard against bullying. No one should be bullied or called names simply for being who they are. That’s why we are wearing purple for #SpiritDay today.
Cole Cote has earned player of the year honours and Nick King is named the OCAA's top pitcher as six @DurhamCollege players take home awards for the 2023 men's baseball season.
