@DrKCarlson A4- I want to continue to look into and grow my strengths, especially those highlighted from Gallup. Also continue to bounce ideas and thoughts to others when my weaknesses arise. Finding a couple mentors who are in the next step would be beneficial as well #ED634
@DrKCarlson A3- I enjoyed Gallup Strengths results & the break down. The book mentioned Sarah’s boss always taking different things from each speaker & not knowing who he truly was..was a great reminder everyone’s leadership will look different. that’s okay. Focus on your strengths. #ED634
@mossholderj@DrKCarlson Having that trusted group is key. Allowing them to call you out when needed, to bounce ideas off of, to be a sounding board. In leadership positions it isn’t always the easiest to find people you can openly/honestly talk to. When you find them, remind them how important they are
@DrKCarlson A2- it is important to have a valued & trusted team to bounce ideas off of. Know your strengths & weaknesses. Be open & honest w/yourself and look at 2-3 things that you can improve on through professional development and self growth. You can’t be the best at everything #ED634
@cmkesler87@DrKCarlson It is such a morale/culture booster to showcase staff and students strengths and what they are working at. Something that seems miniscule can leave a big impact! #ED634
@Mr_Linders@DrKCarlson Good reminder Aaron. To be okay with surrounding yourself with people who are good at your weaknesses. That way your team will be more successful!
@mossholderj@DrKCarlson 100% Jesse! I think it is easy for teachers to brush what they do well aside and focus on what they should do better. Great reminder!
@DrKCarlson A1- you are a school leader for a reason. Everyone one your team brings forward their own unique gifts, talents, and abilities. You need to use your strengths so that everyone else at the table does as well. That way your team will be at its best. #ED634
