@EricaClark321@DrKCarlson Absolutely. I think this is going to help me have productive conversations with colleagues who may need some reassurance and validation on the things they do well.
@bueltel_collin@DrKCarlson Absolutely. It also helps us develop conversations with colleagues who may also benefit from the assessment that we took. This would be a fantastic opportunity to utilize for professional learning communities as well.
@DrKCarlson A4) I think the information that we have gone through was incredibly helpful to name a few things that I hadnβt before. Highlighting strengths is important so that I can prioritize them so that I can continue to grow throughout the next academic year. #ED634
@DrKCarlson A3) My biggest takeaway was that the results provided me an opportunity to stop and reflect on the events that have transpired in my life that has pushed me to become the leader that I am today. Reflection is important to me, and this provided me an new way to look/think. #ED634
@Mr_Linders@DrKCarlson I do feel that administrators can feel a bit isolated because of the position they are in. Itβs so important for districts to intentionally provide some form of mentorship. I see a lot of schools around me prioritize mentorship with new staff/new teachers, but admin not as much.
@DrKCarlson A2) I think itβs so important to surround yourself around people that you trust. Everyone needs to have a mentor in some capacity so that we are always able to reach out and gather information about ourselves both personally and professionally. #ED634
@edevr713@DrKCarlson Agreed. Super important for people to see what we are strongest with. Having colleagues do the same will ultimately provide an efficient and impactful approach to your student body!
@brady_jergenson@DrKCarlson Deficit thinking can hinder our own ability to grow comfortable highlighting and prioritizing areas we feel strong in. Happy to hear that youβre modeling good work for your students!
@DrKCarlson A1) Itβs important to model areas that we feel particularly strong in. I think teachers often focus on either whatβs ahead or areas of growth, but we also need to be mindful of what we already do well, and expand on that each year as well. #ED634
