I've watched about 20 kids this morning and one thing I want to share with players, parents and coaches is that the order in which you have your plays on your Hudl matters just as much as you posting quality film....you can get and lose a coaches attention when your film is out of order...
As a PSA (Prospective Student-Athlete), your Social Media is your resume.
It should:
✅Have your Real Name
✅Grad Class
✅Measurable’s
✅Contact Info/Head Coach Info
✅Highlights as your pinned tweet
Anything less, you’re hustling backwards.
Here’s a great example!
Some recruiting tips from someone who did the job at a Power 4 school and ran an FBS recruiting department:
1) Spamming your film under random tweets will never get you looks, it might get you blocked.
2) Your HS coach is your biggest character reference. Give them truthful, positive things to say.
3) Film doesn’t lie, but genetics doesn’t either. If you are smaller than every D1 kid at your position, you’d better be exceptional.
4) Skillset, work ethic and potential over stats. Anyone can run it up on weaker opponents. Who are you consistently?
5) If you want to play college football, ignore the logo and find the right fit. There is a school for you, but it may not be one you see on National TV every week.
