Culture OS Building a home

I didn’t set out to just build a football program.

I set out to build a place that felt like home.

A place where young men feel safe.
Where culture matters.
Where brotherhood isn’t a slogan — it’s lived.
Where we share meals, moments, wins, losses… life.

Looking back, I realize I was building what once built me.

A space of belonging.
Of identity.
Of protection and accountability.

It hasn’t always been pretty. Leadership rarely is. There were hard seasons, criticism, and nights I questioned everything.

But the mission never changed:

Create an environment where people feel seen.
Feed them — physically, emotionally, culturally.
Hold them together when the world pulls at them.

Maybe part of it healed something in me too.

And that’s not weakness.
That’s legacy.

We don’t just coach football.
We build homes away from home.

For the past 14 years I have given every ounce of my being to building our program. Not a day goes by where the goal is not improvement. It can be exhausting, at times it is overwhelming. Many times you are pouring from an almost empty cup. Its a life of servitude that you must be at peace with. It can consume you if you let it. But everyday and I mean everyday there is a moment with r kids that makes it all worth it. We will always be the most consistent person in r program and that is okay. We are the steward of each classes story and we owe it to each kid every year to build the experience that will become their memories. MAKE IT COUNT
