⚫️ UTAHBALLERS - QB1 ⚫️
The UtahBallers QB1 program is designed to build, promote and assist high level quarterbacks so that they have the best opportunity to reach the next level. Promotion on this platform is EARNED, not given. The players highlighted on this series have been evaluated, coached and recognized at a top level prospect from the state of Utah. These quarterbacks meet the criteria for what college programs look for at the position.

• Cruz Christensen | 6’1 - 180 | 2027
Cruz Christensen is a high level, dual-threat QB from Lone Peak High School. His passing mechanics and efficiency is arguably the best in the class. He is a rotational passer who that understands and utilizes disassociation correctly, while maintaining ideal posture from take-back to release. He consistently finds a great base regardless of platform and mitigates lateral lean by keeping a detailed head position throughout the throw. His sequencing is the best I’ve seen which plays a huge role in how efficient he is. With this foundation he effortlessly drives the ball with high velocity and stretches the field with ease.
Cruz is a player that moves the chains with his arm, which is exactly what I look for at the position. That being said, he is a phenomenal athlete that can EASILY pick up yardage on the ground. He is one of the few QB prospects that hover around sub 11 territory in 100 meter dash, with his best time of the season being 11.09. The combination he presents is rare and coveted, it is undoubtedly a skillset that will translate to the collegiate level.
On the field Christensen is calm, poised and confident. Last season he stepped up whenever his number was called and demonstrated the ability I referenced earlier. One of his best games came against in-state rival Corner Canyon where he lead his squad to a lopsided victory against the nationally ranked Chargers. He threw for 4 touchdowns and rushed for another in that contest. After that game I heard from multiple college coaches asking for information on him which will springboard his recruitment this summer/ fall.
