We tell kids to not sleep on the trades, then we tell them they don't have a Bachelors or Masters degree so they aren't employable even if qualified. so much is wrong with our system, I never realized until I retired from 25years in the trades and enrolled in college in my 40's
@ZayasRiley Unfortunately this seems the norm here in New England. In roughly the past 10 years over 30 4year colleges here have either shuttered or merged.
@CoachHPrice I believe much of the frustration today lies within the constantly changing athletics landscape, parents see "the next big thing" and need to keep up with the Jones' and now you as a coach need to adapt or risk losing your players even when your system has a proven method
Was with a long time colleague this weekend, I said, imagine in the current #NCAA landscape, no #NIL no money, just getting a chance and a bunch of kids that want to trust the process, collaborate, and grind for the team for 4 years. #livinginthepast#womensbasketball
#MentalHealth is an important part of #sports In #RhodeIsland this week we've had 2 highly visible events, 1 resulting in a fatality the second a rescue & treatment. These 2 events were within 24 hours of one another. We need to have difficult discussions, we need to be better.
