Madison enters 2025 looking to build on a 7-4 campaign that ended in the sectional round against Clifton-Clyde. Head coach Nate Teichgraeber is entering his third year leading the Bulldogs and his 24th overall in coaching, with 11 of those as a head coach.
The Bulldogs return four starters on each side of the ball, with an experienced senior class. Senior Cruz Leiser is back after an all-league and all-district season where he accounted for more than 1,100 yards and double-digit touchdowns. Senior linebacker Drake Loveall anchors the defense after a dominant junior year with more than 150 tackles, earning LCL Defensive Player of the Year honors along with SIK all-state recognition. Senior Octavian Dean is another two-way standout, recording over 120 tackles and bringing versatility to both offense and defense. Lane Smith and Jack King add further senior experience, while junior Brayden Grimmett, an all-league defender last fall, will transition to quarterback. With Burlingame and Lebo also expected to contend in the Lyon County League, Madison faces a challenging regular season schedule, but with returning all-state caliber players and a system built on balance and toughness, the Bulldogs are positioned to compete for another deep postseason run in 2025. #sportsinkansas
