The most important factor for in-season training is monitoring readiness and/or fatigue. The wt rm is always secondary to the sport. Adjust the training to how they feel so they can feel their best when it truly matters…on the field.
If your sprint day feels "too easy" it's always one of the following:
1. You don't actually understand the point of a sprint day
2. You aren't putting enough effort into the actual sprint

Pitching is an explosive activity that requires the transfer of energy from the body in sequence to the arm. Each pitch is a powerful ballistic event followed by long rests comparatively… each a CNS intensive effort.

With all the stress athletes have in their life, it's important to have the skills to be able to unplug and shut it down. These skills can help recovery and also help get some restful sleep. Its more than words...it needs to be practiced.
When you make the “easy” things hard through overthinking and over complicating, you end up making the truly “hard” things nearly impossible.
Avoid muddying the waters. There’s nothing “unsexy” about that which is simple and steady.
