Summer is when most coaches get to breathe. For S&C / Football coaches it’s full go
Summer is where S&C learns the most logistical/admin skills. If it works for big groups then small groups will flourish
It’s also easy to burn yourself out so make sure to take time for you
At the HS level the most important logistical consideration is consistency. Similar framework/structure daily to help with flow. This speeds up the session
No specific programs for one sport - teams all follow the same general plan because they all need the same general things
2024-No sprinters to state
2025-Sprint Relays to state
2026-4x100 to FINALS at state!!!!
We train speed around here!!! Huge shoutout to Coach Benway and @CoachJones_AHS for their belief in developing athletes in Altus! Let’s get it tomorrow fellas!!!
Consult wins!
Once you nail this system, there’s no going back. It’s as well-rounded, predictable, and repeatable as anything I’ve came across.
BMT, Box Squats, and DB Jumps all in a Conjugate framework is undefeated💪🏻✈️
Insane stretch reflex and conditioning on these young athletes
Remember, all bench press builds muscle but not all bench pressing is the same
This is a bench press not for muscle, not for powerlifting, but for athletic development
This is force development and power that transfers to his sport
Sad he has to keep comments off, because this that monster shit
How to build the best athletic version of your child
-Play all sports during season
-Practice skills in the offseason with a parent, friend or self
-Lift/Train/Sprint 3X a week year round forever yes even during season
What parents will actually do, none of the above
If you coach a spring sport and the last time they saw the S&C was December, you can’t blame the S&C for your team being “weak” or not “explosive”.
It’s 2026, all athletes MUST train year-round.
Especially if you have a qualified S&C!
Online Athlete Spotlight👇🏻
Multi-Sport Athlete Paul A. started with me just over 2 months ago with goals of Improving Speed and Power.
While still playing multiple sports, he hasn’t missed a single session and has been crushing every programmed workout.
We got big goals!💪🏻⚡️
The real value of S&C at the high school level is how much it can raise the floor of your average kids.
It’s very possible for a normal kid to become a 20 mph guy by their junior or senior year.
When your average kids are 20 mph guys instead of 18 mph guys, you’re doing alright
If @MashElite who has coached elite athletes, developed Team USA lifters, and spent his life around Olympic lifting—can say team sport athletes do not have to clean… why is that still so hard for some coaches to accept?
The clean is not the issue. It can be a great exercise.
But it is not the goal.
The goal is stronger, faster, more prepared athletes who can perform in their sport. If another exercise gets that result with less teaching time, less technical barrier, and better buy-in… why wouldn’t you use it?
Some coaches defend the clean like it’s untouchable. But coaching is not about protecting tradition. It’s about solving problems and getting results with the athletes in front of you.
Real coaching maturity is knowing the difference between the method and the mission.
So ask yourself:
Are you coaching athletes… or defending exercises?
Hear me speak about this tomorrow April 25, 2026 at the @NSCA Iowa State clinic hosted at Central College

Today at Get To Know Your Coach Wednesday:
We had the opportunity to hear from Coach Colby Webb our S-C Coordinator. He told his story to the team. His upbringing and why he coaches and mentors. He and his wife are the gold standard.

Imagine it being 2026 on strength coach twitter, seeing all these results with BMT, and not be willing to give it a shot. Couldn’t be me! Proud of the work my guys are putting in! The numbers speak for themselves🗣️🗣️🗣️
