This is how we “Coach Up” our athletes. Knowing how to positively encourage is special. The Freshman game was intense and this engagement... wow! Stopped me in my tracks. Great Day to be a Patriot! @coachscales10 is clearly one of the best DC’s in NC! @Pinecrest_MCS family!
Peyton pep taking herself and taking a deep breathe. SO important young pitchers, take a minute to breathe. We are not machines, you control the pace of the game.
Peyton works so hard and makes me such a proud coach. Love her to pieces❤️
Thankful my parents taught me to love everyone the same! Attending and coaching at an HBCU has been one of the best decisions I have made. Some of my best friends and mentors are of a different ethnicity and I love them for who they are! #Thankful
“Girls need to feel good to play good, boys need to play good to feel good”
One of my favorite quotes, there is a difference and it needs to be understood. Know your players so you can be a more successful coach.
Meet Peyton. Peyton has been working with me for over a year now and has grown with me as a coach. She is one of the hardest workers and has the perfect pitcher mindset. I cannot wait to see the places this girl will go, she has so many years ahead of her❤️💙🤍
I come across too many players that overestimate where talent can take them and underestimate where commitment to development and the process long term can take them.
I appreciate that some parts of practice are going to be the same everyday but remember to be innovative and bring new drills or concepts to your practice. This helps keep the kids invested and mentally checked in. If not kids will just roll through the motions.
