If a college wants you, consider yourself blessed, & don’t big time any opportunity
A lot of coaches are saying privately what Willard says publicly

"Hard work does not guarantee you success.
It just simply increases your probability of being successful.
But I can guarantee you this, those who don't work hard don't get nothing they want."

“A tough player deals with what’s there, and responds to it.”
Things not going your way?
Find another way.
Don’t pout.
Don’t make excuses.
Your body language is the window to your soul.
This is mental toughness.

This is just me personally. I feel a player should never react to a foul not being called or a fouls being called. Show some mental toughness and get ready for the next play. Stop crying.
Your body language is the billboard to your mental toughness.

How you communicate when you’re not playing well speaks volumes.

As an athlete, your biggest problem in games isn't making mistakes. It's your negative response to making mistakes. Once you learn to stay positive and resilient, you'll perform much better in games.
Advice to HS basketball players. When college coaches come to watch you we dont care how many points you score. We want to see how tough you are, how well you listen, how well do you guard/remember your assignment, how well do you communicate,MAINLY how do you respond to mistakes
I think the biggest mistake the vast majority of high school players make today is thinking that you have to have the basketball in your hands to be playing basketball. So much happens without the ball. You’ll have the ball somewhere between 4-6 mins per game tops!
Workouts are tough
Studying is tough
Getting up early is tough
Being a backup is tough
Starting is tough
Leading is tough
Winning is tough
Losing is tough
Fact is, most of LIFE is tough.
CHOOSE your TOUGH, give it your ALL, and OWN IT!
Too many focus on what we can GET from the game. Stats, accolades, social media clout, scholarships, etc…
To truly gain all that the game has to offer, shift to thinking about what the game already GIVES U.
Opportunities for GROWTH as human beings🙏🏽
Invaluable LIFE lessons💯
